Their downfall wasn't just because of Ginger, virtually ALL of their hits were co-written by 4 brilliant songwriters/producers (two duos). Goodbye was the last song to be written by one of the duos (Rowe & Stannard). For their 3rd album they didn't work with any of these teams, which was their downfall. They would've had better success even without Ginger if their 3rd album had catchier songs that were better written and produced. Holler was good, and the rest of the tracks weren't necessarily 'bad', just nowhere as good as their earlier work.
For those suggesting Mel C was either drunk or high during the interview with Dale Winton, take a look at how on point she is when performing 'Goodbye' - the consummate professional. i would suggest it was more like she was having a bit of fun during the interview..:)
