- The National Assembly has adopted an EFF motion to close the Israeli Embassy in South Africa and cut all diplomatic ties with that country. This as the ANC moved to support the motion with an amendment that the resolution is subject to Israel striking a truce with Palestine. The EFF motion was debated last week and it was voted on on Tuesday afternoon.

3) Yet the other side is charged with war crimes;

Regardless, of the loss of communication between the countries at this level, Israel has acted with total disregard to all the UN resolutions and is acting in the manner of a rogue State. South Africa can't support an Apartheid State morally and will not be looked down on for this vote in the world outside the West, in fact it will enhance its standing by this action. The UN is still the place where SA can interact with Israel diplomatically, and the expulsion will hopefully begin the process of reining in a State that is acting counter to normal values of humanity.
