How wonderful to listen to you speak about the retreat. It was indeed nothing short of transformative. I find myself thinking and dreaming about moments we had, full of conversations, laughter, tears and discoveries. Everyone was so open, and it was so deeply special to be 'in person.' And as you mentioned, my chance to sit down with you in REAL life. It was a wonderful experience, after all these years of following the podcast, playing Bingo Ball, and working on patterns you've featured. Such a reminder that while it's wonderful to make our virtual friendships, (as truly these connections would never happen without social media) it is the person to person connection that fills our souls. Thank you-- and may these retreats happen again, for others to Stop and savor time together, and ultimately, take time with themselves. Thank you as well to Melissa for opening our eyes to more colors and more choices, Amy for reminding us that we all shine, Charlene for her glorious knowledge, and our delightful Yoga teacher. As you might say, "It was SO good!"
😘😘😘
Thanks Jackie! So fun to see the Soho wrap shades of pink/reds represented by the buildings - if that doesn't just clinch your choice and to be able to hang onto that visual in a garment is so great. Your creamy Crocus is such a classic beauty - love it. The retreat sounded glorious - a once in a lifetime. I always appreciate your book recommends and just ordered this one.
Cannot wait to show you the finished crocus! 🥰
Listening to you evokes the desire to savor every morsel of what you say. I feel the urge to pause and experience all that rises in me. I just found your podcast a couple of days ago. If I understand correctly, you are a writer, and when you speak it is better than any book I have ever listened to. The perfect blend of so many of your gifts. Thankful for you. I wd love to attend a retreat. Love your barrettes. Might you share where they can be purchased?
Very beautiful knits, Jackie! Always an enjoyable episode ❤
Delightful. That is what time spent listening and watching your podcast is. When I comment (and it seems I always feel compelled to), it is not for your reply but rather to let you know that across this medium, you touch my soul. ❤
Thank you for sharing your heart with us.
Thank you Linda, I so appreciate your note. ❤️
How about a Crystal Seyfarth sweater together? I’m eyeing two of them right at the top of my queue.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful episode. I love listening to your thoughts about life, love and knitting. I very much appreciate your welcoming me as a loom knitter to your wonderful community. I just completed my second Sunday Shrug and I am ready to start my next one which has orange and blue stripes as I am fan of both the NY Mets and the University of Illinois (where I received my M.Ed.). I am petite, slender and always cold. These shrugs are like a warm, loving hug. Thank you for all that you do❤️.
I would love to see that Italian lady inspiration if you remember

Beautiful authentic episode! As usual, Jackie. Thank you!! ❤
I love everything here. Your Friday Nights sound magical! As always, it's so good to spend time with you. xoxo
What a beautiful space and community you created in your Friday nights! It brings me such peace thinking about and imagining everyone coming together as I go through a tough time in my life right now. I love the story of the person raking your leaves. There are so many ways we can help and send love to others around us. Thank you so much for sharing your vulnerabilities with us.
Lisa, what is the succor of pain? Simply to know we are not alone. That power to witness one another is something so beautiful. I watched it heal my mother. I hope you will both receive and give the blessing of your simple being, especially now when you need comfort. Thank you for joining me today.
Thank you for your beautiful and kind words.
I decided to get that book on audible.. thank you for talking about it... it brings to mind the Hafiz poem:
Admit something:
Everyone you see, you say to them, "Love me."
Of course you do not do this out loud, otherwise
someone would call the cops.
Still, though, think about this, this great pull in us to connect.
Why not become the one who lives with a
full moon in each eye that is
always saying,
with that sweet moon language,
what every other eye in
this world is
dying to
hear?
thank you!
This is gorgeous! ❤
This episode has me thinking and feeling in so many wonderful direction that I don't know what I want to say but thank you. Colour is profound.
Thank you for another wonderful video! 🥰
Great episode! Ordered the Color Book, thanks for showing it. xo
❤love everything you choose to share. Really looking forward to more Tailoring with Mario. Maybe you will do one with blouses . The jumper you are wearing is so perfect. Think I will have to buy the color combination book.also ordered the little color book for a friend.
What a treat to see you again. You always inspire me to want to work on my colors and perfect my color choices. I just bought the book you mentioned about color combinations. I’m so intrigued. I was wanting to take the snow crocus class but since I missed the first one I decided to wait for a next class ( I know I could catch up but I feel a little stressed to play catch up with a sweater that looked so complicated to me). I’m sure you will have lots of other classes and I will join you on the next one.
Very lovely episode dear Jackie💖😍💐
So nice to listen to you again. I love your crocus neckline on you. Thank you for introducing the color dictionary, I think it will be helpful tool, I hope I can make your next retreat, I live so close, I just have to budget for it ! Looking forward to your next talk 😊
I will have to read How To Know a Person -- being *fully* aware of other souls and holding them with reverence would be transformative. And, of course, I love the knitting discussion.
The retreat sounds lovely. I would have loved to attend, maybe someday I will be able. Your knits are beautiful and perfect for you.
Colour book, I didn’t catch the title and author could you please tell me ,thanks ❤
A Dictionary of Color Combinations
Hello de France. Je vous suivie depuis quelque temps et je suis ravie de vous revoir. J'aime vous écouter lors vous parle de vos inspirations et des couleurs, c'est instructif. Merci. A très bientôt 🌹☕🌟
“Who broke your heart?” “Why do you love your mother?” 😂😂😂 SO So relatable! I am the exact same way then all the sudden I switch and you can’t do anything to get me to share. It’s about feeling safe for me. You nailed it. ❤
I hope you have another retreat. I wanted to attend but the timing was off for me.
I wish I was advanced enough to make A Crocus.
Someone in my class has only knit one sweater before this. She’s doing great.
@@jdominirose I am predominately a quilter, appliqué, counted cross stitch samplers and dabble in knitting. I presently have a Sophie Shawl and a Stephen West Unicorn Parallelogram on my needles. A cross stitch project, and whole list of future quilts. I WANT TO DO IT ALL!!! Must meditate and clear my brain. Love your readings. Years ago my quilt teacher nicknamed me Grasshopper. Still holds to this day. 😉
How about the Days of Beauty by Rachel Illsley for a sweater project. It’s next on my list and I would love to knit it in community ❤

Thanks for the beautiful, thoughtful content. Thank you also for screening out the unloving, bot or ignorant person comments.
❤
I’ve spent my whole adult life trying to be more at ease in small-talk situations, but I’m just not (and now I don’t really TRY anymore, I usually choose something else!! lol). It’s not just that it’s boring, but it “wastes precious time” and precludes opportunities for deeper connection (or so I feel/believe. Haha). I Much prefer a deeper convo on any topic! Not everyone is up for that, or always up for that, and I’ve gotten much more comfortable just being “with myself.” When I was young, a desperate need to not feel so alone, and to learn, propelled me to try to engage everyone at that level…ah, suffice to say, I’ve learned to navigate those waves and opportunities much more elegantly now! LOL
I wonder if you can relate to this.
(Also I picked up on the deep abyss of hurt you mentioned almost in passing here, and I want to acknowledge that-even in this medium that is so inadequate to the heart’s deep pull. Thank you for showing all this. 💔❤️🩹❤)
Love this message of coming into self acceptance / celebration. There is no single mold after all. Amy Palko often reminds me, our most important contribution is showing up as fully ourselves; each one of us illuminating how and where we are. 🥰
