An alternative to the tony box if you have older kids is the Yoto player, you can make your own cards, or you can put books on from audible, my 8 year old has just listened to Harry potter books and has loved it. ❤

The scratch card idea is great! I had a quick look and you can actually buy the stickers to make them cheaply online and make your own card! Some people use them to put in the lunch boxes for little messages.

My son loves his magnetic tiles. I suggest you might like to get some ‘magnetic tile toppers’ that turn them into a car road or train track too, and inspire them to create different paths and incorporate their vehicle toys. As a carer, it's hard to go actual shopping so great gift ideas for my grandchildren. Definitely recommend kinetic sand and magnetic tiles.

Love these ideas! I bought the magnetic tiles for my son this year from your recommendations and they have been a winner for at home and out. We make car tracks and take them to restaurants with us to keep him occupied
