Hahaha yeah heaps of stories that go back 30 odd years. Big hairy creatures. Noises. Just general weird stuff. Bunyip and Yowie type things - born from aboriginal story time. Heaps around Sues Bridge. All the time I’ve been camping on the Blackwood I’ve not heard or seen a thing. The south west is crazy full of random stories and legends. Bloody love it.
@@MightyOverlander Ok, I'll head over and watch👍 I have been lusting after a Jimmy for years and you have reignited my love affair again although I don't think the finances are all that in love🤣
Hey buddy! I’ll do my best to get my hands on an RTT for winter! It won’t rain here in Western Australia until late May - June. Very dry part of the year at the moment!
Hi Jimbo Tiberius Slice, I eat roughly 20-30 bears a day. I found it’s the best way to help keep the bear population manageable in Western Australia. At last count there was 4.7 million bears per person in Western Australia.
I haven’t tried one yet, maybe in the future. They do have the “All Grip” system which is like a poor man’s diff locker lol, but it’s not on the cards just yet.
@@MightyOverlander As a Jimny owner I have had to learn how to drive the All Grip system to get the most out of it. From my opinion it reacts too slow, needing 4-5 full turns of the low grip wheel before the All Grip system apply brakes and transfer the torque to the other wheel on the same axle. Other cars with similar systems needs far less tire rotation before applying braking. Meaning, with the slow reaction of Suzuki’s All Grip I have to keep the momentum/speed a bit too high or I will come to a full stop before the system recognize what it needs to do. That’s why I will order a rear diff locker from Kayser in Brazil in July and a front one in December. With the locker/-s I expect to get better control when the situation calls for low speed and maximum grip all around. Your thoughts?
@@BorisEkner yeah I agree, but it depends on the kind of 4x4ing your into. I’m more into the Overlanding style where I’m hunting for cool new camp sites in secluded areas. I don’t often go out 4wheeling for the sake of driving unless there is a camp site at the other end lol. That being said if you check out Billy Goat Jimny, a fella in Victoria, he has a very capable JB74 with lockers.
@@MightyOverlander It appears our overlanding experience differs a bit. I drive tracks up volcanoes and mountains that in parts turn into rock climbing or soft mud at times. I think having 1 or 2 diff lockers will be beneficial for me. That’s why I will get them, ie preparing for the worst case of scenarios to get to the final destination. FYI - I’m not into camping. I’m too old, been there, done that. At my age I prefer hotels with a bar, a pool, and breakfast included. 😁 In case interested you’ll find my few videos at RUclips - Pacaya Overland.

great video Tony, do you have many bears in western australia? if so, how many do you eat a year
Hi Jimbo Tiberius Slice, I eat roughly 20-30 bears a day. I found it’s the best way to help keep the bear population manageable in Western Australia. At last count there was 4.7 million bears per person in Western Australia.
Question - have you considered a diff locker or do you already have one or two?
