Goosebumps.... After my NDE, I was sent back with an angel. When I ponder my faith, and ask a question, if the answer is affirmative, the thing touches me, and every hair on my body stands on end, without a chill. It's VERY reliable.
I had the privilege of attending Grace City Rome this past weekend and attending this mass. I met truly wonderful people and I haven't been to such a lively church in a long time. I hope to be moving sometime soon and possibly close enough to attend this church every Sunday. Thank you to John, Will, and everyone else I met. I can't wait to attend Easter Mass with y'all.
Here's the kicker - my mom is in a battle with pancreatic cancer right now. She was given the news back in August. I've been praying for her, but I've found that this is a battle between the flesh and the spirit. I know what the bible tells me - so far, I've learned that the day of our death is far better than the day of our birth. I've learned that to live is to suffer, but to die is to gain as long as we have Jesus. My mom knows Jesus. That's not the problem, it's the fact that she's my mom - do I ask the Lord to heal her, to take the cancer and keep her here, when I know she's far better in heaven with Jesus. It's hard. It's flesh against faith in this situation. One thing I don't do is blame God for any of this. Cancer is a byproduct of a fallen world and has nothing to do with God.
I've been following John for years on WPS and love watching his progression. This was my favorite sermon so far. Keep it up John! I wish I was near to be able to attend your church.
"Faith is stepping out onto nothing to see if something is really there." Faith in God is stepping out onto nothing and knowing that He will catch you!

Another good sermon from john

To be fair - real faith is faith in something. If it's something reliable, then that's a wise faith
God is reliable
Psalm 20:7
Great intro man
I knew that was the guy from Warrior Poet
More bible. Let's hear some more scripture
Point of correction - God isn't waiting for me to participate, before he acts. Bible doesn't teach that
Please don’t call John a pastor. That’s not a title for a preacher, it’s an office of our Lord Jesus in His church.
But he is a pastor...
