Next stop metro station under the Baltic Sea! Koivusaari.
The world's only metro station under the sea is the Koivusaari station in Helsinki. It is located between the islands of Lauttasaari and Koivusaari. A 76 metre long escalator (the second longest in Finland) leads down to the platform. About 5000 people live around the station. The view of the building is reminiscent of an upturned wooden boat. It is one of Helsinki's very modern new western metro stations, which we also present in our other videos.
