- In today's episode, I give a little bit of detail about the art competition that will start this coming Friday! More details coming soon. I also take a baby step in the crashed ship display that will be in my build room. I will need a pilot's arm holding a helmet dropping from the ship fragments. Today I take a Black Series X-Wing helmet and re-do the weathering to make it fit my story.#LukeSkywalker #StarWars #Cosplay
This episode was written, filmed, and edited by Shawn Cash, produced by Heather Atherton and Shawn Cash
The helmet is amazing, you made the helmet more star wars. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation of all your videos, I'm working on a star wars suit right now.
I'm a big fan of your video's, I can't wait for the crashed Y-wing
@@samuelbuscop1615 Thank you ... what are you making?!?!? I would love to see it!
Great, now I gotta go "out do" you with mine! Lol. Looks good, I like it.
You better ... that's our deal!
That was one beautiful paint job you have done
Thank you, Chris ... Had a rough night working on some props with the sewing machine and that helps!!
Beautiful job! Looking forward to more vids and project progress!
Looks great. Your weathering is much better than the factory fast.
Thank you ... you don't have to go as far as I did, but if you just added a bit I think you could really improve the helmet pretty easily!
Wow nice job. I'm trying to convert the Trapper Wolf helmet version in Luke Skywalker's, so I have to sand the old paint scheme out, spray a base coat to fill the sanding job, and applying a matte white paint, before applying all the decals I've already printed. What I fear is to damage the yellow visor with paint, so I need to take the helmet apart, or if it'd be impossible (and it seems so....), I have to mask the inside of the helmet out, perfectly. Any suggestion would be much appreciated....
I did a search and found some people in RUclips that were able to take it out!
@@trytofinishsomething Great ! Any link to check It out ? Thanx
Great job! That really came out great!
Thank you sir!!!
Love this man, very helpful as I have a similar project planned! 👊
I am intrigued!!! The crash or the helmet?
@@trytofinishsomething weathering a helmet 👊
Just wondering , why you don’t show us the stuff you use where you get it.
Good point! I will try and do that!
Is that just acrylic paint? Looks fantastic!
Mostly acrylic brown and black … I did also add a bit or water-based oils to make it a bit greasy looking!
Thanks for the comment and thanks for taking the time to watch!!
The helmet was obviously used when they gave it to Luke , it would be cool to have a backstory on what type or how much action that this helmet had seen… what if the arm that your going to have hanging out was part robotic/ bionic?
Oooooooh … I really like that!!
I thought Luke was a pilot....not a coalminer :-)
Fair comment! This “pilot” is going to be in an old crashed ship in the roof of my build room so I wanted it “extra” weathered!
Check lukes helmet in esb 😉
