@@HammondDER Nope! If you want to hear head voice/falsetto on the Faust high C, then listen to Georges Thill. Fisichella's top C was more head than full chest. Kraus is in a league of his own when it comes to the high notes though the rest of his singing of this aria in many of his live recording was dry and ugly.
@@HammondDER to sing head voice is to cover. The cords are elongated necessary for high pitches. If you want a muscular struggle and danger to the cords, go ahead sing full chest voice up there🙄
One of the best pronunciations of the french language by a non-French singer I've heard. But... vocally..., I'm daring to say this is my favourite rendition 💎
Non.
Amazing singer. The accentuation of the » phonème « in French is perfect. Mon chanteur américain favori en Francais. i will to see and hear him in Opera Comique in Le postillon de Longjumeau.
Just saw him first time on stage in "La Vestale" (a dreadful production) - very masculine and beautiful voice and a very good French diction. I hope he will sing more in Vienna.
My goodness. In some ways, this is better than Giuseppe di Stefano's famous performance of the aria (as part of the complete role) from the Met in 1949.
I LOVE Spyres but I just have to comment that there is an opportunity to make it even better. The phrases could be even better connected together a la Kraus. There is still some elegance to be found that way. But this is already an A performance, I'm talking about the diff between A and A+
@@KajiVocalstimbre isnt dark enough to be a low tenor. He has a very middle of the road tenor sound. He can over darken for color effect but natural sound is pretty bright.
If Nicolai Gedda and Alfredo Kraus listen to this on the eternity, they smile for sure. Beautiful rendition. Michael is indeed excellent.
Beautifully sung. He kept his vocal line unbroken even upon reaching the high C. Well done!
A voice of the highest quality.
First Jussi Björling and now this. Jussi went from pianissimo to forte on the high C and this was forte to pianissimo. Both expertly executed.
I like the comparison. Intelligent singing.
BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. What a voice.
One of the best high C's in many years. Perfectly sung-dead center.
This is pure headvoice with no poissibility to go into the full voice. The full-voiced High C's are at Fisichella's or Kraus' renditions.

@@operadog2000 This is simply not true. The vocal closure type is headvoice based. This is not so called covered register as FC's or Pavarotti's.
@@HammondDER Corelli's rendition was awful especially with the flat high C. LP sang an exquisite high C, but it was a studio recording.

Another sublime interpretation by the world's finest tenor.

Bravissimo !!! Bel canto illustration
Una voz muy bella. De los mejores en la actualidad
amazing!!!!!
Fenomenale....il miglior tenore oggi
Beautiful !
Muy buena interpretación Michael
This is incredible!!! A decrescendo on a high C! Amazing!!!
Also di Stefano was able to do this in his best time.
In fact, if you listen carefully, it is a crescendo and then decrescendo. Brilliant.
¡¡Que magnifica voz y que esplendido Fausto !!...👋👋👋👋👋👋👋..

Pire au lieu de pure ! Tu parles d'un phonème...
Eleganza e bellezza.

Masculine? It's almost falsetto.
@@celibidache1000 have you ever heard Spyres in a live performance? Or just watching Ytube video and post dilettantish comments?
Perfecto...
Swoon!
Question: What act was this aria from?
Spyres is wonderful. The coughing into the microphone is unfortunate.
Frasseig adequat. Vocalitat eximia. Total, un jove tenor destacat. Potser poc valorat...
Molt cert. És un cantant meravellós.
Fais-tu le premier opéra
My goodness. In some ways, this is better than Giuseppe di Stefano's famous performance of the aria (as part of the complete role) from the Met in 1949.
Kraus, Gedda, Beczala
great job Michael! I don't know why people come to the opera to cough... very annoying of them.
👿 👍
Enregistrement pirate . . .
A first rate tenor (not a bad bass impersonator either lol)
Fais-tu
Soberbio!

I much prefer Mario Bahg’s his wording much clearer and superb tenor of this century !!!

Nice, a high C is done well but diminuendo was not so great, he better would do it Roberto Alagna way, that was sensational
A mistake to try the di Stefano diminuendo here. Didn’t quite work, and the vowel was ugly.
It’s not a di Stefano diminuendo, it’s a Gounod diminuendo and it was fantastic.
Better than Di Stefano's scratchy high C that started with head voice whereas Spyres went from Chest to head voice.
Agree, even with Pippo it was a bit precarious.
Not bad for a bariton.
Low tenor.
🤣🤣🤣
