PRAGUE SEMMERING RAILWAY CIRCUIT 9th June 2022 with Steam Locomotive
213 902 0-4-0T.
This is the smallest standard gauge loco in Czechia. It was built in Prague in 1947 and is owned and run by Czech Railways. It may be small but it does not lack punch.
The circuit (see thick black line on map early in the video) starts at Prague Smichov station goes round a tight loop north west up a steep gradient with rocky cuttings, to emerge overlooking Prague. It is called Semmering after a similar railway in Austria. After a run round at Hostivice it goes east across the Vlatava River north of Prague old town. It continues round the north and east side of the town with two more run rounds and finishes back at Prague Smichov. I highly recommend this experience especially if you can do it with a steam loco.
