Wow, he ALMOST transforms... into... a thing. Even Gundams would be ashamed of that! Back in the day, "brickformers" meant something different, but it's the best thing I can come up with for this altmode. They should have just used the classic G1 lamppost.
Mine arrived yesterday and the Bot mode is bloody awesome, I love this Soundwave design so much. Had a tad of a nightmare transforming Ravage and getting him the chest but sorted it eventually. Noticed yours is weathered, mine isn't.
On one hand, great bot mode that has a more likeness to heavy knight armor instead of the light to medium armor of the typical ones of movies 1-3. On the other hand, terrible transformation to vehicle/boombox mode, although to be expected when it is never showed much beyond paper. Although, I can understand what they are trying for, a Armored Command Vehicle, still ugly as sin.
I feel like the only person in the world who doesn’t like these Bumblebee movie redesigns. Don’t get me wrong, they’re a lot better and much more colorful than their Bayverse counterparts, but I dunno... I always appreciate when a new continuity does something different with the characters, and it just kinda feels like these designs are sticking way too close to G1. And I say this as someone who still really loves the 80’s cartoon. Also something just feel off about them. Like, Soundwave, Arcee, Ironhide, Ratchet, Starscream etc from the opening of Bumblebee, they’re all colored like their G1 selves but something about the shape makes them feel very off, like they were trying to be a little different but still didn’t want to stray too far from G1 so they’re all left in this weird grey area. Idk, that’s just my take on it. At the very least I like these designs more than the Micheal Bay ones and I have hope this new Rise of the Beasts movie will be really good!
All of the bots that appeared in the Cybertron scene were modeled last minute, there's very little detail on most of them and they were all made using the existing models of the main bots, Bumblebee, Optimus and Shatter. This is probably why they look so weird in the movie.
@@spongeboymebob771 Last minute? Really? I think they did a phenomenal job with Optimus. And a pretty dam good job with the rest. Some people simply can't be pleased with anything other than the original cartoon, it would seem.
@michaelscholes8956 Yes, as far as I know it was pretty last minute. I appreciate it for what it is, and they do look good to me at least, but I still acknowledge they can look a bit weird. Definitely agree with that last statement though.
@@spongeboymebob771 Well I appreciate you sharing that information. I'm always curious to learn about the creative process that was used to generate these guys. Cheers!
Name: Soundwave

I would love to see another mascot reviews video
Nice transformation
I just noticed... Ravage has laserbeak's color scheme 😅
This feels really REALLY forced. Like they decided right at the end to give it some extra panels and tank treads and called it a day
