Hey Y'all! I loved the episode, great stuff. I just wanted to give the feed back that the overall audio level was a little low on this video, your audio sounds great but maybe slap a limiter on your master or some type of mastering chain before you export! Keep killing it, you got a new subscriber!
Great chat :) a lot I can relate too. It’s interesting hearing the different perspectives of development :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
The sentiment that "maintaining the same quality of games will just get easier and easier as proficiency increases" really speaks to me. I care a lot about balance, and would much rather be earning just enough to keep making games long term than going way too hard and burning out in hopes of some get-rich-quick dream. Thank you for promoting realistic, sustainable dev. ❤
Our pleasure! Good luck on your journey and don't forget to take a few breaks to stop a smell the rosed. Cheers!
I’ve been listening to these while going on daily walks, in order to get that much-needed break during my work days. Do you gentlemen happen to know where I can connect with other solo devs? I would love to find a healthy community of devs that I can talk to online every now and then or play games with, but I’m based in Melbourne time. 🙏🙂 If you have any leads it would be much appreciated. I do work another job outside of game dev, but I’m pouring serious hours into my game and it’s always helpful to connect with others who are climbing this mountain.
We both have discord servers you could join. You should be able to find link to those in recent YT vids we post on our main channels. Good luck on your journey and thanks for listening along! Any topics you want us to talk about next?

Steam Deck+1
I say ignore the User Percentage of Steam Deck Users and instead look at the amount of Steam Deck Sales. We know Steam Deck nearly sold 2 Million on their first year. That was back in 2022. Now there are even more Steam OS mobile PCs out and Steam OS is becoming open source to even more users.
That means there are MILLIONS of mobile PC gamers looking specifically for games that are enjoyable on the Go or on a more comfortable environment. You could easily sells 10's-100's of thousands of copies of your game on Steam Deck alone.
Aarimous here, great point. And I think it's at least something I want to explore with Hexagod and learn how hard it is to get the Steam Deck verified. And then even to see how it sells so I can make a more educated decision for my next games.
