  • Can you use artificial grass in an aquarium? How to use artificial grass in an aquarium. We have wanted a grass carpet plant in our 125 gallon tank but due to our clown barbs digging up and eating the plants we had to come up with an other option. We decided to try artificial grass and to date it is working really well.

Its not that often one of the "fish tube" type channels show off a product that I get excited about. This looks AMAZING. It is so hard to grow a good carpet sometimes. And, some tanks just are not gonna have a carpet no matter what due to the stocking. I was thinking I could line the bottom, and the sides, AND the back of the tank. Thank you for making this video. I might just go buy a new tank to try it. I ordered some already through your affil link. cheers

🌵Hello from Arizona! I was wondering if loading the grass with some sand might weigh it down. When artificial turf is installed on the ground they load it up with sand to make it stand up.🌵

Hi.. I was, am thinking of placing some artificial grass. The one used in the video looks like the generic turf for landscaping, so it should survive the water environment of a fish tank depends of the chemical factor in the material and if will breakdown over time due to the composition for environment care. I don't think the fish will bother with after a few test bites.

Also I have tried live plants in the tank and the goldfish did start to eat them as expected do you think the goldfish might try to eat the grass and if they did do you think it could harm them?

They’re Denison barbs. Minimum tank size 55 gallons but 75 gallons is better, they’re fast swimmers. They need to be in groups of 5 of more otherwise they fight a lot. They get to be 5-6 inches. Ours are approximately 4-5 inches.

Artificial aquarium plants can harm sensitive fish, especially plastic plants. ...
