"That much more safe....." dear god...he wants to critique what I will use it for, I shall critique his inability to properly articulate and market a product.
I don't understand why he's saying it's silly for street use.. What's the point of riding a fast bike on the street if it'd do better on the track. Same goes with cars, what's the point of driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini on the street if it's optimized for the track. See where I'm going with this.
its a terrible road helmet but excellent on the track, at normal speed on the road, it is extremely noisey (comes with ear plugs for a reason), very tight and hot, also u can't close the vents if it rains, venting only works when u twist ur head or hunch down, and you can't lock the visor in the up position or have it a tiny bit open, as anything over 30 the wind pushes it down, now their are hundreds of helmets that are excellent quality that does all the things this helmet doesn't for 1/4 of the price... BUT when u take this to the track... u can sit up at 120mph/200kmh and the helmet is rock solid, doesn't move or float around one bit when ur facing forward, Im on my second one now, but have a different helmet for every day riding
Just purchased mine, i ride a 2017 ducati 959 and ive been looking for a really solid helmet, carbon fiber, i purchased the Italy GP R colorway, i seen it, looked around for maybe a more reasonable price, but nothing stood out like the AGV. Call me silly but im gonna be using it for street use only. Maximum protection, great looks and superb technology. Cant wait for it to come in!
For the Street here also!! Yes i just dropped $1600 for this helmet anniversary edition. It arrived in 2-days ! Un-believable, i cant get mail from a city 30 miles away in 2-days time. Cali to Miami, maybe this guy used his private jet to drop it off? Cant wait to try it out!! the Gold accents and visor are off the chain cool
I bought a sport bike that was designed for the track. I wonder if I look silly riding that on the street also? Not too many 200 MPH speed limits. Silly, just silly!?!

Yes it is silly there are plenty of bikes designed for the street which simply make more sense as in are more fun.
9:05... no pockets for speakers.. true... but I installed a Packtalk Slim with speakers by simply inserting the speakers into the check pads thru a small hole on the bottom of either side... actually works even better than other helmets... Yes, I'm made of money and wear this helmet to puddle around in my moped
If I'm spending $1,400, you can bet your paycheck I'll be wearing it in the street as well as the track... I'd rather wear that than some $100 helmet from Walmart.... And yeah, my SENA will be going on it, since you know, it is removable.

Well then you might want to invest in a good street helmet too since this thing really doesn't perform good on the street.
Why not on the street? It is light weight, great for high speeds too. Everyone said don’t run slicks on the street or you’ll crash. I always ran slicks on the road during summer. Never had loss of traction, and only some excellent grip and I could go fast through the corners. I’d always warm them up a little first before going crazy on the road.
I guess I am silly too, for wearing a Shoei x-Spirit 3 (X-Fourteen in NA) on the streets too. IDC, it looks amazing and is lightweight and comfortable.

No thats actually very optimized for the street unlike this helmet.
Ernand Goeloe thank you- I kinda hate the whole silly word for buying it fot the street - geez it's Gona protect you right ? That's all that matters- Shit I might buy the d air misano for the street. Annnnd ? Lol
It's not that this helmet can be used for the street it's just that it lacks a couple things that some people look for (i.e. the visor detent positions while open). I'm with everyone else, I will have this helmet and wear it on the street but I know I will have a great helmet for when I hit the track as well.
Not for the street? Why not? I love mine and laugh at the "track only" comments hahahaha. If you want the best protection you don't care what a reviewer's opinion of where it should be worn matters.
4 года назад
It doesn't have "the best protection". It's designed for the track meaning bit isn't good for the streets and everyone who knows anything sees that by simply looking at it.
the only silly people in the whole equation is you anthony, the helmet is SPECIFICITY designed to accept com systems. the neck roll/cheek pad thing has special cut outs in the foam and slots pre cut in the fabric to slide the com speaker in.easiest com system install of all the helmets i have ever done. they even made clearance in between the shell and the eps for the back plate of the com base. its honestly so funny to me you think this helmet isnt something you would put a com system on.
"Using it on the street is silly" ... shows a guy riding on the street every single time. I will send you guys a pic riding a Grom with this helmet. Hope it doesnt ruin your day.
I understand that small (s) and medium small (ms) are different shell sizes. Are the interior pads capatable within the two shell sizes? Will the MS pads work in the S shell? There's a discontinued design that I want in the s shell that is unavailable in ms shell.
Unfortunately, no, they are not compatible. Size MS has its own shell, own EPS, and own liner size, so you cannot use MS pads in a size small helmet. -DrewZilla
You can only close the vents by inserting plugs that seal the vents off. They're included, but they aren't sliding vent closures like on standard helmets. It's all about weight savings with the Pista GP R. -DrewZilla
Does the visor have that indent like the Arai Corsair X visors so that you can place the pinlock in flush with the visor? I have the non R version of AGV Corsa and every time I lifted my helmet the pinlock piece would touch the helmet.
There are 4 shell sizes (XS-SM, MS, ML-LG and XL-2XL). Liners are interchangeable within shell sizes, so if you are starting with size MS you will not be able to swap out the liner for any other size. However, being a race helmet it is designed to be a very snug-fitting helmet and its crown structure allows riders to optimize fit and select helmet height position on the top of the head. -DM

Which AGV helmet would be equivalent to the Shoei GT Air II or the RF-1200? I’m looking for something from there line that you can wear on the street not so much worried about price. Also if I wear a small in a Shoei X-14 what do you think I will wear in a AGV?

The delivered tear offs seem not to fit on the visor. It doesn't make a difference in which position the knobs on the visor are, the tear off is always loose. Is there anyone else with that problem? Or am I just too stupid?
Sorry you are having trouble with the installation! Tear-offs can be tricky. I did some searching and found this video that may be of assistance to you (ruclips.net/video/b2xd_bNQHWI/видео.html). If you ordered from us, feel free to drop us a line at cs@revzilla.com and we may be able to help you out further. If you purchased it locally, I'd get in contact with your dealer for additional assistance. Hope this helps! -TeamZilla Chris
I also found that video but it does not work like you see in it. The distance between the holes in the tear off needs to be at least 2 cm less. I live in Europe, so I bought it locally. Just wanted to know if someone else experienced that problem since AGV don't answers my e-mail. Besides that it is an awsome helmet. I just found out that the tear offs fit on the clear visor but not on the iridium visor.
Hi guys! I just solved the puzzle! :) My Iridium visor is an AGV Race 2 from the old Pista GP because the Race 3 was not available. The Race 2 fits on the Pista GP R but it needs other Tear-offs and Pinlocks than the Race 3.
Does anybody notice or have an issue with the chin not being fully covered or fully inside the helmet? I dont have a long chin but it sits just flush If i was to laught my chin would come out.
@@driftingastronaut of course and use no noise plugs. No way I’d wear that thing without plugs. Also have a couple Corsa R helmets and they’re a tad better on noise.
The Chaser-X (DT-X here in the States) is a very neutral oval shape that fits a wide variety of heads comfortably. The Pista GP R is a racing helmet through and through and has a narrower fit that is meant to hug the sides of your head tightly so it does not move around while wizzing around a racetrack at 200mph. Its crown structure allows riders to optimize fit and select helmet height positioning on the top of the head. -DM
You don't have to be a professional to want to wear the best gear. Safety should always come first when you're on the bike, not this chuckle heads opinion of what's good for you. Yes it's expensive and more than likely a little much for street riding but if you can afford to invest that much into your safety. By all means, stay safe.
The 5mm Pista GP R Shield is available in 5 colors (including the clear). It's true that the non-R Pista/Corsa shields are available in more colors. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-pista-gp-r-corsa-r-face-shield
RevZilla I've purchased several from you guys and they are all 3.5mm except for the clear. I spoke to one of your employees and AGV says their Pista R shields are UP to 5mm. I've tried buying overseas direct from Italy and there are no 5mm colored shields. Not blaming RevZilla here. It's deceptive advertising from AGV because they charge a premium for these shields over the regular Pista.
I can't stand riding with a street helmet on the street or on the track. Race helmets are just superior. I don't drive sitting up on my super sport bike, that would be silly. However, even if I did, I have never found the extra field of vision to get in the way! Maybe RevZilla just wants to sell everyone two helmets when one will do! From the wording in this video, street helmets are heavier, less aerodynamic , don't vent as well, have a smaller field of view. In my opinion, street helmets just suck when compared to track helmets and the only reason to downgrade is to save a few $$! My Shoe race x-14 is the best street helmet I have ever owned, and at the time I bought it Revzilla was boohooing it as a street helmet too. Don't buy it for the road! (Why!?) Yeah, all that extra viewing angle, lightness, and aerodynamics, just doesn't work well on the road, that just looks silly. Limit your view, add some wight, and let the wind blow your head around uncontrollably, that's cool! :\ My x-14 has a sena Bluetooth com unit. It also works well both on the track and on the road. I'm a faster pilot when I get some tunes going and get into the groove, but when I am on the track, I'm there to have some fun. I have more fun when jamming to some tunes. I guess I'll never know if the AGV can handle my com unit because I'm not allowed to get one if I plan on taking it on the road. I was considering a new AGV Pista GP R track, as the x-14 is getting a bit warn and banged up. Maybe when Revzill say not to buy this for the road, what they are really saying is that the AGV Pista R is just a sub par helmet, not good for the road, and probably not great for the track as well. The possible downsides that I can think of using a track helmet on the road. 1) It might fitter tighter and perhaps therefore breath less in stop and go traffic. 2) It fits tighter and may be more difficult to put on. 3) It might move more air at high speeds and therefore it could be a bit louder that a street helmet. I don't think any of these arguments are really valid or necessarily true. The viewing angles are both great for the street and the track while street helmets cut off the viewing angle . Why is is we should only use this on the track? All as I know for sure, if anyone's looking for a great road helmet, the Shoe X-14 has been the best helmet yet. From this video I can only assume that the AGV sucks where I know the X-14 does not!
If you have the budget for the Pista GP R, it's an awesome helmet. However, the X-14 is also a race-grade helmet and costs a good amount less. Both have a similar intermediate oval fit, so I would decide based on budget. -DrewZilla
The gp game is getting an upgrade, SV's weren't allowed in gp because they couldn't get snell approved. However there are now digital visors that tint fully and are chargeable ; insane!
I'm only getting a 125 cc because 'dumb' UK law for 17 year olds. I can afford this helmet because I want to be as safe as possible but is it stupid to use when only on a 125? Appreciate any comments
If you want it, get it. However, I'll say that this helmet is really optimized for track riding. The vents can only be opened and closed by removing or inserting rubber covers. Instead, I'd recommend the street version of this helmet, the Corsa R, which has sliding vents and a more affordable price. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/agv-corsa-helmet
Did you buy it from us or another American vendor? Only American vendors get the DOT-approved helmets. Helmets sold outside the United States do not have DOT labels. -DrewZilla

Yes, both fit the current Pista. -DrewZilla

The Pista GP R does not have that deep recess like Arai, so you may encounter the same issue as your non-R version. -DrewZilla

Yes, you can reattach the cheek pads after using the emergency release. -DrewZilla

Heavily vented usually means _not quiet_. However, of those three helmets, the Corsair X is the best balance for street and track. -DrewZilla

In that case, it seems you received the incorrect tear-offs, as we have not experienced that issue. -DrewZilla
Hi guys! I just solved the puzzle! :)
My Iridium visor is an AGV Race 2 from the old Pista GP because the Race 3 was not available. The Race 2 fits on the Pista GP R but it needs other Tear-offs and Pinlocks than the Race 3.
I've got 2 of these. Love 'em.
Just bought one and guess what ? You guessed I’m riding on the street as well as track
Can someone explain to me how to slow down RUclips video playback?! This guy talks waaay to fast for me!
Click the _Settings_ gear icon in the lower right corner of the video, select _Speed_, then select _0.5_. Anthony in half time haha. -DrewZilla
Bahaha, Anthony sounds like he had 10 Jacks n' Coke on 0.5 speed!
I recommend Anthony at 0.75. Has that just smoked some medical marijuana vibes. At 0.5, Anthony sounds like he just got off of a 3 day crack bender...
Does anybody notice or have an issue with the chin not being fully covered or fully inside the helmet? I dont have a long chin but it sits just flush If i was to laught my chin would come out.
What suit is The one on the video?
It's the Dainese Assen. -DrewZilla

I’m actually impressed with how loud this helmet is at speed. Seriously impressively loud.

@@driftingastronautyou’re gonna be shocked when you realize the helmet doesn’t know if it’s on the street or the track.
@@n300zx931 nah you get the idea, it's meant to be worn with earplugs. Do you still use yours?
@@driftingastronaut of course and use no noise plugs. No way I’d wear that thing without plugs. Also have a couple Corsa R helmets and they’re a tad better on noise.
Got mine today in Matt carbon
If I look like a dick on my pikes peak multistrada then I don’t care
I’ve got wot you want so there
Anthony's savage intro is unique... The intro always scares me...
Agv Pista Gp-R Does it comes with Pinlock? When is available for shipping?
Yes, it comes with Pinlock, and the helmet will be available to ship February 2017. -DrewZilla
RevZilla thanks
im so sad i just realized this doesnt have the bluetooth cut outs :'(
BaronVonGrumble must be silly enough to use one on a daily commute, lol
I look Silly, I got the Mugello 2018 tricolor and wear it to commute as well ...🤣🤣🤣
OMW to work with my Granpremio looking sill AF😎
Does it fit like chaser x ?
The Chaser-X (DT-X here in the States) is a very neutral oval shape that fits a wide variety of heads comfortably. The Pista GP R is a racing helmet through and through and has a narrower fit that is meant to hug the sides of your head tightly so it does not move around while wizzing around a racetrack at 200mph. Its crown structure allows riders to optimize fit and select helmet height positioning on the top of the head. -DM
This review needs to be redone.. Anthony was in a bad mood or just really hated the helmet.. the review was just full of attitude and disdain.
Crazy, I thought the same too
You don't have to be a professional to want to wear the best gear. Safety should always come first when you're on the bike, not this chuckle heads opinion of what's good for you. Yes it's expensive and more than likely a little much for street riding but if you can afford to invest that much into your safety. By all means, stay safe.
Cant get the colored shields in 5mm like the clear one. Fail...
The 5mm Pista GP R Shield is available in 5 colors (including the clear). It's true that the non-R Pista/Corsa shields are available in more colors. -DrewZilla
*www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-pista-gp-r-corsa-r-face-shield
Agv pista gp r or Shoei x-14
If you have the budget for the Pista GP R, it's an awesome helmet. However, the X-14 is also a race-grade helmet and costs a good amount less. Both have a similar intermediate oval fit, so I would decide based on budget. -DrewZilla
Is it good for street ?
It's up to you. You can wear it on the street, but keep in mind that the vents can only be opened by removing some little rubber inserts. -DrewZilla
It's just crying out for a smoked shield
Every helmet cries for that lol.
The gp game is getting an upgrade, SV's weren't allowed in gp because they couldn't get snell approved. However there are now digital visors that tint fully and are chargeable ; insane!
should look good on my new Ducati V-4 Speciale - hurry up Ducati
Do they paint it black? You know, for the street...
-DrewZilla

RevZilla looks great! Thanks a lot for your help.
You're welcome!
Bro. You have one head one life. Get the best.
Says it's silly to use it as a street helmet , yet shows someone in a full race suit and ready to hit the track
I’m going to buy it only for the street
Citizens Bank Park!!..Go Phillies!
Chin exposed ridicoulous wind noise is guaranteed. As to be expected with a track oriented helmet.
I got this helmet and it doesn't have a "DOT" sticker on the back 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Did you buy it from us or another American vendor? Only American vendors get the DOT-approved helmets. Helmets sold outside the United States do not have DOT labels. -DrewZilla
RevZilla outside of the United States.... Barcelona spain
TUBASO TUBASO european helmets are ECE 22.05 approved and not DOT approved.
I am gonna ride my Aprilia sr 50 with this helmet.
Lol nice.
Now That's silly xD
Matte carbon... God damn it! I got the last version and its so glossy...
is that a good thing or bad thing?
I love the way the Matte looks, Glossy is a finger print magnet.
People are doing exactly what your saying not to do, I seen these slot on the streets with sena in them.. And I'll do the same 😁
YoungBossSteppa how do you add sena into it?
Well it's dumb. It's just not good on the street.
The Bluetooth problem tho..... I love my gp r, but I gotta buy another helmet for Bluetooth
I want to look silly and have great protection while riding on the streets!! Will this helmet do the job?
Looking silly seems pretty subjective. You'll definitely have great protection with this helmet though. -DrewZilla
