nice install video will be very helpful when I eventually get to installing a water cooler thanks Brian for your dedicated time and effort to make things simple for us noobs...!
Thanks
Perfect timing I just got a Dark Rock Pro 4 to replace my old 212. Time to overclock my 7700k to 5Ghz as it’s getting a bit slow for my use case (240hz with reasonable lows)
Brian, that AIO radiator looks a lot like the ones Greg Salazar was having a lot of trouble with, after two years they were furring up inside with horrible smelling gunk.
water coolers don't last forever
@@Britec09 What is their average lifespan though, if I may ask
@@Britec09no shit
Hey! Nice Paisley shirt! I can feel my hair growing back already... :P
lol with the bald spot in the center lol
Will this cooler get the hang of the 5800x? What do you reckon would be the best AIO cooling solution for this kind of processor?
Im tryna install a fan but my motherboard has 4 pins in the holes that are supposed to be where they are
Wow a AIO that actually gives the correct dimensions. Far to often manufacturers don't give the dimensions.
Nice looking cooler, I do like the look of that block. Still not convinced with water coolers, only used a AIO once and that was actually worse temps than a air cooler.
Good video as always
Some people love them and some people prefer air coolers
@@Britec09 very true, I've only ever used the Corsair H100 so maybe things are different now.
I agree with being suspicious of AIOs. They do of course sometimes malfunction whereas a decent air cooler like my Dark Rock Pro 4 are indestructible and will last forever.
Thanks!
I would like to upgrade my air to aio cooler but my pc doesn’t have motherboard access on the side panel.
Love your shirt, Brian. 👍
Thanks!
What make is the cable extension you have in your system?
Brian with the liquid cooler you mentioned refilling the rad after some period of time. Now, what would you fill it with and would that be a specially made liquid-like anti-freeze stuff? I have an old Intel Liquid (Asetek) set up but cannot see any refill ports so am assuming it is hermetically sealed so should I leave it well enough alone?. The one thing I like about liquid coolers is that they are (in my experience ) a lot quieter.
The refill part is a nice feature, but my concern would be the pump lasting that long.
@@Britec09 Hmm didn't give that a thought Brian my Asetek (branded Intel) has done well I suppose after I built the machine back in 2014, Mind you if you look at their site they do produce cooling pumps for things like F1 racing cars etc so should be good for a bit longer yet eh?🤞
Brian! how much would you charge for a system like that with the 11-400 none F version also minus the GPU & HDDs rough estimate? please, thanks!
You buy the parts and pay delivery and I will build it for free
Do you think £540 is a fair price for MB same as your video CPU i5-11400 version, Memory 16GB, Case Corsair & PSU ?
Yah, the angle of back plate was concerning me on my last build. Wondered why it wouldn't align. heh
Can you do a video how to cable manage a pc with no PSU shroud
good information
Thanks
Great video
do i need to remove the previous thermal paste or no?
Yes
That sure is a psychedelic shirt you're wearing there. A man from the 60s I assume :)
paisley shirt, can't beat them
That is one snappy shirt you have on!
Alfy Moon shirt 👕
Alfie Moon shirt baby lol
MY GOD, WERE DID YOU GET THE SHIRT FROM LOLOLOL
classic paisley shirt
@@Britec09 The 1960s just called, They want their shirt back...🤣🤣🤣
You missed the paste install bit 🤔
No its in the video, don't skip and you will see it.
It's not hard at all but likely depends on the case. For instance I replaced my 3700X recently with a 5800X and I pulled the entire AIO out just to give it a good cleaning since it's been over a year and a half in use. I doubt the entire job from start to booting back up even took an hour and I have a large top mounted 360 AIO but it's also a premium full tower case (Phanteks Eclipse P600s solid side case) so I have plenty of room to work in. I got the 360 AIO because without any RGB it cost the same as the 240 AIOs with RBG which I can't see anyway because I have a solid side case. When working at home I sometimes use a USB 3.0 Vector Network Analyzer and need a solid side case to shield the RFI coming from inside the computer
Phanteks Eclipse P600s is a nice case
Who on earth put that much paste on in the beginning?? Yuk!!
Triggered by thermal paste like many others, people make far to much of thermal paste
@@Britec09 better to have to much than not enough in my opinion.
@@welshtony1 that's what she said lol
@@Britec09 behave haha
Too much compound increases the distance between the IHS and the cooler block and in turn reduces cooling efficiency.
