For everyone that doesn't know, simp didn't even seem to know; This hack restores some of the beta object placements leaked a while ago. The placements of the stars, red coins, caps etc.. aren't random.

8:40 Funny story about that. I remember watching my dad's now-ex-wife's nephew play Stand Tall on the Four Pillars back when the game was new, and he was struggling with it. Eventually, he got all four but was then confused as to what happened. After a few minutes of searching the level, I saw the now-flat-topped pyramid and suggested that he go up there to take a look at things to see what the change was, not knowing that _that_ was the change. I feel silly about it now, but actually having a cutscene there would have prevented that confusion from happening.
the cutscene was there in the actual game but i think it is either broken or was removed

@@Xenthio The cutscene is in the files along with camera shake data. Additional shake data is commented out which means the devs intentionally removed it.

For anyone wondering, a Pedro Spot is a special case where Mario maintains his position while increasing speed. It is not a softlock.

I like to creep around my home and act like a goblin
I don’t know why but I just enjoy doing this. Maybe it’s my way of dealing with stress or something but I just do it about once every week. Generally I’ll carry around a sack and creep around in a sort of crouch-walking position making goblin noises, then I’ll walk around my house and pick up various different “trinkets” and put them in my bag while saying stuff like “I’ll be having that” and laughing maniacally in my goblin voice (“trinkets” can include anything from shit I find on the ground to cutlery or other utensils). The other day I was talking with my neighbours and they mentioned hearing weird noises like what I wrote about and I was just internally screaming the entire conversation. I’m 99% sure they don’t know it’s me but god that 1% chance is seriously weighing on my mind.

this hack reminds me of an idea i had for a rom-hack that seemed normal, but there would be minor changes like small graphical bugs or things slightly out of place, but would play pretty much normal. the catch would be if you tried to do certain things, like clipping through the stairs to get to the second floor faster or grabbing the ledge from the basement to the lobby, then you would get transported to secret levels. there would be hidden hints about this, maybe a few hidden signs or something, but anyone who's played mario 64 long enough would stumble into one of them by accident and get the idea to check other areas.

Hacks that use the original levels but modified probably feel the best because they aren't overdesigned. I think what makes Mario64 feel so good to play, is that the game doesn't expect you to use most of your movement options, so when you schmoove it feels special rather than intended

One thing that wasn't mentioned on the hack page, is that the hack is open source.
This hack is not meant to be a personalized/spooky hack. It was originally a personal hack to showcase unused assets for tcrf, but it spun into the stuff in the video overtime.
Also, this hack is unrelated to other beta projects, except for the Lost3DBrother project (Which I am also working on).
Hearing heartbreak playing changes anything that's going on as soon as I realize what it is.
After speedrunning for many years, completing many great feats, the only thing that remains is BLJing into different dimensions and completing every version of SM64
Plot twist: this was one of the parallel universes all this time, and we're only now getting to see it

About the pillars cutscene, yeah, there's indeed an unused camera action whose focus coordinates line up with the pyramid top. It was easy to figure out what that was meant for, as this hack showed off.

Every few months or so I get to hear Simple say the word 'Wolves' as 'Wooves' and it's always my favorite.
Don't know if its the lighting enhancing the effect or whatnot but goddamn dad looks super good here. Seeing classic clips from the Everyday channel compared to now really shows his journey. Great stuff as always.

Bad news, i got convid for real for real but dont worry im fine and im getting recovered because the lone wolf like me is not the type of person who goes out since there is almost nothing interesting outside, how did i got it, my mother got it somehow few days ago before i got and after 2 or 3 days me and my dad got the virus and become sick for few days, but im feeling good but i still cant go outside to do my IRL walkies and eat something in a fast food or restaurant. Even a gamer like me who doesnt goes outside and already took the 3 doses still get the virus, be safe and good luck to not get caught it too. My mother did the test again and when she got the results that she got the virus me and my dad are infected. The only thing i can still feel when i still sick is when the smell of water is different like a dose or something and this time my throat is very dry when i wake up and have to cough a lot to remove but it hurts a little.
Ps: after watching few seconds i noticed you shaved you beard but now the next time my mother see me watching you she cannot call you a goat again.

12:54-13:00 I heard that Super Mario 64 was originally in development for the SNES, which greatly restricted the potential for stages to sprawl out in multiple directions. So had they released the game on the SNES, EVERY level would’ve been linear (think Super Mario 3D Land, but on SNES hardware & exploiting the SuperFX chip to its full potential). So the developers decided to leave the Bowser stages linear as a nod to “what could’ve been”.
