    Egad, Pewku must be a beast considering she traveled all the way from Le-Wahi to the Lake near Ko-koro - which itself is near the peak of the mountain, -in what must have been just a couple of hours.

    Could you do a video explaining how much force the reunification of the moons of Spherus Magna would cause? Would they cause the planet to shatter like an egg?

    You know, I was curious what exactly you were going to talk about in regards to the locations. Not disappointed.
    Also holy heck, I was not prepared for the height. I'm glad you included everest for scale, as I was about to Google it.

    Everytime a new and interesting topic. Nice

    Yeah that's cute!
    Though it's most likely fitting for our biomechanical friends who are both stronger and more durable than us, and who think that living 100 000 years is normal.

    This may be a shorter video, but it was still a great one, the size honestly blew my mind

    Given the fact the island of mata nui is itself artificial and exists on a moon rather than a planet (so lower gravity), it makes sense the island would be pretty extreme. There just hasn't been enough time for nature to take its course and erode the island's features. It only existed for around a thousand years which is a tiny blip on a geological timescale.
    I can't help but wonder what the gravity on Aqua Magna would be as well. I can only imagine it's less than on Earth, even with the mass of the GSR beneath the islands.

      It's probably more, actually.

    This is assuming the video was made with the true scale in mind. Maybe an optical illusion of some sort made the height seem greater than it actually is?

    Quick question, did you take into account great spirit robot into account for those measurements after all The island is supposed to cover it’s face, so I wouldn’t be surprised if a big chunk of that is the face after all ihu is covering one of its eyes

      @theknowledgetower208  5 месяцев назад

      I didn't as there wasn't any need to take that into account. This was simply a measure of each peak's height above the sea level of Aqua Magna, rather than their height above the GSR's face specifically.

      @@theknowledgetower208 since you freaked out about them being taller than the tallest point on earth, and in the solar system, I think, taking into account how much the great Spirit robot face should be taking into account, especially since the two names of those mountains are actually words, meaning nose, and mouthas foreshadowing for the great spirit robot

    • @theknowledgetower208
      @theknowledgetower208  5 месяцев назад

      @@ajerjavec4723 it's true that they do sit on top of the GSR's face, but that actually doesn't make any difference to the measurement being made.
      The island covers the whole face of the GSR right down to the waterline, as shown by areas such as Ta-Wahi beach. The thickness of the rock that makes up the island may be different depending on the shape of the face beneath and the topography of the island, but really how much the GSR's face sticks out above sea level doesn't actually matter - it doesn't change the height of the peaks above sea level. The only difference would be how much of that height above sea level is made up of the rock of the island or of the metal of the GSR. Either way, the actual height remains the same.

    For the size of the island, did you use canon north/south measurements or calculated?

  • @hexazalea1793

    are these the measurements with gregs GSR or the inteded GSR from 2001?

    • @theknowledgetower208
      @theknowledgetower208  9 месяцев назад

      I used the measurements of the island that came from the official map, rather than extrapolating from either GSR size. Though given the map measurements came from Christian Faber, they align better with his GSR size

    question: can we tell from the side view in the video game that the island is being viewed from a certain orientation? as in like, does its length in that image correspond with the island's north-south length as opposed to its narrower east-west length?

    • @theknowledgetower208
      @theknowledgetower208  Год назад

      So, the best way to tell which direction we are looking at the island from in that image is the orientation of Mount Ihu and the Mangai volcano relative to each other. The volcano is easily identifiable from the dip of its crater, and Ihu from its height, as it's the highest point on the island. We also know from the official map of Mata-Nui that Mt. Ihu is further north than the Mangai.
      This means that if we were looking at a view from the east or west (meaning we would see the full length of the island), the two would appear to be side by side, whereas a view from the north or the south (meaning we would see the width of the island) would show Mt. Ihu and the Mangai as overlapping one in front of the other.
      We see the former in this view, confirming that we are looking at the length of the island, not the width. Specifically, given Mt. Ihu is on the right hand side, we are looking at the eastern shore of the island.

      Also, I don’t know if that island view necessarily shows the entire island. Part of the island could be hidden from view by the curvature of the ocean surface.
