Evan, somewhere; there was a conversation about Tinashe being racist. On something. I believe on the RUclips On A Wave post. I was in that conversation. How some guy was saying Tinashe won't blow up cause she doesn't have any black friends. She only dances with them & stuff; just to settle some of that heat. Her publicist may know about said conversations & maneuvered around that with these dancers.

So I read that she is signed with RCA Records, which is a subsidiary of Sony. I would NOT be surprised if they are purposely holding her back so she won't blow up in popularity like she should and overshadow other artists. She should find a respectable company that will allow her to use her musical creativity and not control her. She is mega talented and she is different. These companies (including Sony) keep pushing artists in our faces that some of us are sick and tired of seeing. I really hope they let this girl do her own thing. Trust me, RCA aren't purposely holding Tinashe back to let other artists shine. Record labels in general are mis-handling new pop and R&B artists these days; they're expecting big hits without putting in the time and money for promotion and more importantly artist development. This strategy isn't working, hence why so many pop artists are struggling to get their albums out. Labels are also struggling to adapt to streaming and how it changes the parameters of success, and thus delaying albums in hope of finding that illusive hit single, when what they are actually doing is killing the artists' buzz and momentum.

This will always be one of my favorite videos of hers. I love how it looks like it was shot in one take. The transitions were amazing.
I literally love the simplicity of the video. Nothing but pure raw talent all the way through. Like she didn't need all the extra stuff. This is my favorite video of hers and it's one of my top favorite videos altogether.
This song and Ciara's Ride are two amazingly choreographed female soloist singers and dancers. It's a shame that Tinashe is not more wildly popular because I can watch this video 5x in one siting. The dancing and the camera taking this mostly in one shot is amazing.

In the dance world they take it very serious when someone does not get credit. So if she did add on to this it would definitely have her name in the description too. I can't stand when people who have no grasp of the industry make up shit about selling your soul to the devil. Tinashe isn't huge because she has no image. She's a hot black lady who can sing and dance. Beyonce can dance and sing, Ciara can dance, Rihanna sings and dances (occasionally), and they're all gorgeous to the point of awe. There's no space for Tinashe, at least not in the public's eye. On top of that, RCA is notorious for being a terrible label for up and coming artists and even for some established ones as well.
Please stop saying that artists "sell their soul to the devil" literally. When people talk about selling their souls, sane people at least, they mean going against their values/morals for success.

Tinashe can dance however the fuck she wants, and this song needs an "oversexualized" dance due to the lyrics, she writes both her own music and others (like "That's My Girl" by Fifth Harmony), and if you think her voice is JUST okay, go get a hearing aid.
Literally though like nowadays a lot of singers can't dance...at least not properly. Like they'll have a watered down version of the choreography their dancers are doing...but she can keep pace with professional dancers at proper choreography and have it look as good on her as it does on them. An ice queen strolling through a spaceship to find a playa space pirate. Seeking revenge for the bullshit he did to her. Have it play out with her squad helping to infiltrate his spaceship. Glitching him & his crew out of escaping safely. It would be splendid if it played out like a killing spree.
Touch Pass
As playful as possible over any sport but if Tinashe was running around with a solid red rugby ball. Added with ridiculous choreography across an entire rugby field of a huge stadium. My life would be complete.
But I did love how the Company video had very lovely home vibes within the decor of the stage. That was Poppin!

Munya Fashu-Kanu yeah this single came out way before like end of July of 2016. If not that then august. So I think she is just using this as a promo single for what's to come with the legit record. Nightride was more so a mixtape.
