On 1:23:00, the crowd started to sing "and so you see, and so you see, the one who doesn't jump is an Englishman!" this relate back to 1982 when Argentina fought and lost the war against the United Kingdom, over the Falklands Islands (Islas Malvinas) This tragic event for Argentina's history, still is a very much deal for Argentinians. Still an open wound. When Dickinson started to wave the UK flag the crowd started singing that song as a sign of protest, if you will. It is sending a clear message that no matter how much we love you and appreciate you, DO NOT wave that flag on Argentinian soil ever again. So, the song is basically pointing out the fact that everybody who is jumping IS NOT an Englishman, and of course, if you are an Argentinian, you WILL fucking jump. I don't think the guy understood the situation anyways. He most likely thought the crowd was celebrating his action, and they WERE NOT. This song, is very popular in football culture(soccer). Argentinians crowds will sing it in every stadium, no matter who they are playing against. They could be playing against Nigeria or Mexico or Finland. It won't matter, you will still hear it.

You explained it well and people is getting political when you just explained the context with the naming convention known by you. That was exactly what happened, people didn't like (with reason) the flag (ultra unnecessary btw) and "returned the favor" by singing that.

Un recital es un día de Libertad, un día para bailar, cantar, sonreír, disfrutar, gozar. Salen bastante caras para nosotros las entradas, Algunas, cuestan todo el mes de su salario. Es obligatorio disfrutarlo. Le ponemos buena onda, y respeto, por eso a el que tuvo la mala idea de pasar la bandera inglesa sobre nuestro suelo, le dedicamos, una cancioncita también. I made a trip to see KISS in South America and it happened to be Argentina!! The most fun you'll have at a KISS show, or any I'd imagine. You have to be strong since there was a huge surge as the band appeared. First sing , or two, the goal is to stay alive!
Some facts to help you understand us better: we do love and enjoy music with joy, but not any kind or band, we love good music, we know the lyrics in English despite Spanish is our first language, tickets are very expensive for us and means a big effort to afford them. Alcohol is not allowed inside the Stadiums (our passion is legit and do not need to be stimulated) and there are very few incidents in the field because people take care of each others like family will do. A concert in Argentina is something any rock fan should experience at least once in the lifetime. But, if a great band as Iron Maiden which we do love, fleams an English flag in our country, we let them know we do not like it with a song immediately sang back to them.

Also, adding here a little something about what happened in the ACDC concerts for those who might not know; confirmed by Argentinians: During the gigs, *mini earthquakes* were reported in all of the nearby zone of were the concerts took place, some even reported slight cracking and damages in buildings around the area 'cause everything was literally shaking from all the crowd jumping (you can see even the image of the cameras trembling).The River Plate arena was closed for a long time until they were sure it was safe to hold concerts again. It's just fucking nuts.

Me encantó tu video, me hizo recordar a los mejores recitales a los que fui! El que más me quedó "grabado" ( y el 1º al que fui), fue el de Queen en 1980. La cara de sorpresa de Freddy Mercuri al escucharnos cantar en inglés "Love of my life" fue tan grande, que le puso el micrófono al público y la cantamos nosotros, mientras se miraban con Brian May y los demás. Fue muy injusto que en la película Bohemian Rhapsody mostraran ese hecho en Río cuando fue en Bs. As. !!! El propio Brian May lo dijo cuando regresó como solista y pidió al público revivir ese momento. Si Queen y los Rolling Stones ( entre otros británicos) lo reconocen, estos no deberían producir más películas con mentiras!

Maybe the part you didn't get was when Bruce Dickinson waves the UK flag and people starts singing "whoever doesn't jump is an English man", that's because we were at war with the UK over the Islas Malvinas (they call them Falkland Islands) in 1982 and our claim still goes on. We get along with England but that's the one thing we will never agree on and it's a deep wound in our history. So the fact that he waved a British flag in Argentinean soil was taken as an insult. It was the crowd's way of saying "dude, we love you, we love your music. But don't ever do that again"

I love England and the United Kingdom and Queen Elizabeth, there are many more of us who support that the islands remain with the English. We have corrupt governments. In the Foo scene a tornado had passed and all but the people and the band followed the tremendous show. I was there.
The day of the Foo Fighters show there was a Tornado in Buenos Aires and the fans attended as well. I had no way to get back to my home which was miles away from the stadium, but I was happy to have seen them live.. That is the madness that we handle here.

As an Argentinian who's been to concerts and football matches, the thing I notice from everyone's reaction is that they're not used to how we have a hive mentality as a crowd, which I think it's the best way to describe what happens during a show of whatever kind: everything is done in unison, and when passion is so heavily involved I guess you get this.

Thanks for your video. I am a 58 years old Argentinian Guy. Mi Son is 26. We go toghether to concerts and love Rock. Many years ago (my son was 16) we was there, at the concert of Foo Fighters that you show in minute 44:55. The real history was that night a tornado pass throw near to the stadium. But we not leave. And Dave and the band play "after the tornado"... half a hour after. One night to remember... the rain was still falling... was really amazing... people on the field jump and dance even when the rain was still falling... and you can see the steam over the pogos on the field!!!. In Argentina we love Rock.

Soy de Argentina y si algo bien sabido es que AMAMOS EL ROCK!!!! y es por eso que sentimos cariño y respeto por los estados unidos, porque ahí es donde nació la música que amamos. Cualquier banda siempre es bien recibida en mi pais y cada banda (sin importar el género) tiene su público en Argentina, y cuándo bienes queremos que la pasen bien y se sientan cómodos, sobre todo que se lleven un buen recuerdo del amor y la pasión que tenemos x la música.
Cualquier banda no, el público argentino es generoso pero también muy culto y exigente. No aplaude cualquier cosa

I've been in a handfull of concerts here in Argentina, and it is really nice to see the peopple in there so happy to see their loved artist, and feel like all of the other peopple in the crowd is you firend for that night, since we love the same music, is like sharing something.
And also, it is always expensive for us to get tickets, so you HAVE TO ENJOY IT, when you are there you just feel so happy, and seing everybody jumping and singing the same music you love makes you wanna do the same.

The same during the bridge of Running With The Wolves, where there usually are backing vocals of herself repeating the same melody, she decided to only have a keyboard playing instead, while she closed her eyes and remained silent for a few seconds, until the crowd started chanting the melody that was missing, and she couldn't help but smile and nod.
She also shared some words, she said Argentinian people have fire in their hearts, and couldn't believe how expressive and open people is.

en estos videos siempre se habla muy poco o nada, sobre queen en el 81, el video del concierto completo esta en youtube, la primera denominada "superbanda" que llego a la argentina y los conciertos ya se vivian como hoy en día, hasta freddie aplaudió al publico y en una entrevista hecha en el reino unido dijo que la experiencia fue increible
No solo eso..faltaron bandas o solistas muy importantes y mejores que muchas de las que salen aca, Queen es una, pero tambien estan los Guns N' Roses, Roxette, Bon Jovi, INXS, U2, Sting (ya en el 85 dijo que la audiencia era increible, fue quien inauguro el estadio de River para los conciertos!), los Rolling Stones, Duran Duran y varios mas que se pasaron por alto. Se que a ciertos grupos no los consideraran del genero rock..pero igual es musica y aqui se vive con intensidad !!!!

An anecdote, when AC/DC came in 2009 I was walking with crutches, they had operated on my right leg after the crash with the motorcycle, I took out the entrance and went with some friends, I walked a kilometer and a half, when we entered the stadium, my entrance was high stalls, I climbed more than ten floors by stairs, but then I couldn't go any further, the steps were very high, so several fans and my friends climbed me like a rock star who jumps off the stage, when I managed to sit down, my crutches did not appear! the bastards were rocking with them and my crutches were all over the stall hahahaha!, luckily they returned them to me in good condition.
Una anecdota, cuando vino AC/DC en el año 2009 yo estaba caminando con muletas, me habian operado la pierna derecha luego del choque con la moto, saque la entrada y fui con unos amigos, camine kilometro y medio, cuando ingresamos al estadio, mi entrada era platea alta, subi mas de diez pisos por escalera, pero luego no pude mas, los escalones eran muy altos, entonces varios fans y mis amigos me subieron tipo estrella de rock que se tira del escenario, cuando logre sentarme, mis muletas no aparecian! los bastardos estaban rockeando con ellas y mis muletas andaban por toda la platea ajajajaja!, por suerte me las devilvieron en buen estado.
