- Budget Session: केंद्रीय मंत्री Nitin Gadkari ने संसद में कहा, “सोनोवाल जी मुख्यमंत्री थे. उन्होंने हेलीकॉप्टर में मेरा हाथ दबा-दबा कर घोषणा करा दी, मैंने रैली में माजुली ब्रिज को बनाने की घोषणा कर दी. दिल्ली लौटने पर अधिकारियों ने बताया कि इसकी लागत 6000 करोड़ रुपये है, मैं एक दम डाउन हो गया. 6000 करोड़ एक ही ब्रिज के लिए कैसे आवंटित होगा? सिंगापुर और मलेशिया की तकनीक का जिक्र कर गडकरी ने बताया कि 6000 करोड़ के ब्रिज को अब 680 करोड़ रुपये में बनाया जाएगा.

Sure more could hv been built then, but v never took such large loans as the debt v r in now. And even if they had built then, would u hv paid toll to ride your tricycle on it ?! The country and it's roads hv progressed as per demand (may be less). Back then only super rich would fly from Mumbai to Delhi. Today my cook flies to Assam !
