Around 9 years ago my mom used to "wash" vegetables and fruits only using water, but someone told her “if you're washing your hands using only water, are you really washing them? Same thing with vegetables and fruits”. I studied gastronomy in highschool and we learned all about hygienic when preparing food. A strict rule was to wash plant-based ingredients individually using water, brush if necessary, soap or detergent, then rinse with water and disinfect. I'm from Mexico tho, rules may vary depending on your country, but I can grantee you that what Jisung was doing was totally safe. :)

@@moonlitwarrior513 Oh, really? Around 9 years ago my mom used to "wash" vegetables and fruits only using water, but someone told her “if you're washing your hands using only water, are you really washing them? Same thing with vegetables and fruits”.
I studied gastronomy in highschool and we learned all about hygienic when preparing food. A strict rule was to wash plant-based ingredients individually using water, brush if necessary, soap or detergent, then rinse with water and disinfect.
I'm from Mexico tho, rules may vary depending on your country, but I can grantee you that what Jisung was doing was totally safe. :)
@@evrenjaemdo127 you obviously know your stuff, but here in India it's not really necessary. My grandma used to wash and wipe with water and only dirty dishes were applied with dish-soap
