- Today I'm doing an apartment renovation of 1310 21 Chic Street in San Myshuno. I split the apartment into 2 separate studio micro apartments which are perfect for students or single Sims. The décor is modern and colourful and I think both of the apartments have completely different personalities! You need to make sure you lock the doors accordingly so that the Sims will not enter each other's apartment. To get a roommate, you need to put out an ad online and a townie/NPC will come live in the spare apartment unit and help pay rent! It’s actually very common for micro apartments to share one kitchen. So another time, try having on single kitchen and then separate baths.

you could have actually split the bathroom in the middle to make it two 3 x 1 bathrooms. The door would be in the middle, right across a showerhead. on one side the toilet, on the other a sink! works out perfectly fine, but sharing one is also a nice idea :) love the apartments!!!

I normally use 2×1 bathrooms and put a sink in the kitchen
Seeing this has definitely made me push City Living up to the top of my next-buy list for Sims4!
City Living is so worth buying. It does have some multi cultural bb items, political, social media, and critic careers. Apartment are a lot fun and easy to renovate especially if your a beginner in building.
city living was the first pack i bought and it was the best decision i have ever made! definitely suggest it ;)

I totally forgot about the roommate option until now. I also love both, and even though I don't like pink I definitely like the pink a lot more
I really love this. But I do think a better use of space in the first one would have been to switch the placement of the Murphy bed, and the kitchen. That would have allowed for a like island or table. Love your work ❤️❤️❤️😍

I love the colours. I think both apartments came out looking really pretty. I'm not sure about the shared bathroom I think having two tiny bathrooms would make more sense (you can make three tile bathrooms in the Sims. And I've seen similar tiny bathrooms in real life). I think most landlords would bother to seperate the bathrooms cos any time you ask people to share space that drastically reduces the price you can ask for rent.
I love both apartments! I think my slight favourite is the pink apartment for the same reason you said, the windows and space to sit and eat!
You can have a working 1x3 tile bathroom by having a toilet and a sink at the ends and the discover university or snowy escape shower in the middle with the door on the opposite wall.
I actually think the 1st apt is great for friends with the Murphy sofa bed
Japanese apartment will have a community bathroom so it makes sense to have them share bathroom. So maybe you can actually build an apartment building for 4 single sims and a community bathroom.

I am in university 😂 I love them, these apartments looks so big to me compared to dorm (we have a communal bathroom ew) sharing with one person would be a luxury. I love the pastel apartment🥰🥰 love it 😍

😁This was so fun to watch! It turned out really nice too. Another idea, you could use T.O.O.L mod to add another door as entrance to the apartment so then you’d have 2 for entrance of different sectors. Or if anyone in the comments might see this.

I can attest to small kitchens in apartments. My first apartment had a crappy little tiny fridge with the freezer on top and a total of 4 countertops. One next to the fridge, then the sink, then another counter. Behind on the other side was 2 counter tops with the stove in the middle. Just a few cabinets. Next to the kitchen was a tiny tiny laundry room. Most people would probably consider my current home to be small but coming from my one bedroom apartment my current house feels like a mansion lol.
Loved the idea of splitting one apartment into two smaller one.

Don't you just LOVE the roommate bit cuz you don't have to be responsible for them AND they make everything so fun while also paying rent!? It's such a fun aspect of sims4. You did a lovely job of expressing the awesomeness of your build😀 For the 2 bathroom idea: put the wall in to divide the bathroom. Then, only put a toilet and the shower that goes on the wall. It's just a pipe and shower head but the one from snowy escapes comes with a little mirror too- I don't know if you have mirror actions with it. Then your sim will automatically wash their hands in the kitchen.
I like the first one better Because of the color scheme, but I would rather live in the 2nd apartment. They are both stunning, and I just love how you did everything. I just saw you pop up on my recommended. So after watching this I subscribed!
I do this too with those apartments so more sims can live in them and different families. Makes it feel more like an apartment setup when you split them up.

This turned out sooo cute! Very impressed with your use of color 😍 I could definitely see myself living in the more blue apartment with the little office nook and Murphy bed. I love the flow of it! And I think you would have a lot of fun with a Get Famous LP. I could see you getting into it! I had way more fun with it than I expected to.
I love the soft colours you used. I would have made them share a kitchen with a dining table in it, that is something I see instead of sharing a bathroom. Usually they have a very small bathroom to themselves. My bathroom in my studio apartment would translate to 4 tiles in the sims and the kitchen also functions as a hallway to connect the two apartments together.
if i used this i would put 2 opposite sims who don't really get along in the apartments, the boy would think the girl is way to stuck up and loud, the girl would think the boy is really messy and out of control, but eventually after being forced to communicate because of sharing a bathroom and the small living conditions they would eventually begin to get along and look out for each other until they eventually develop feeling and begin dating then live happily ever after

Very cute, in the first apartment I deffo would of swapped where the bed and kitchen is, and used the counters with stools to also act as a place to put the laptop on, then turned the area where the desk is into the bathroom. Im used to very small builds though, due to it's how I live, if I ever try create something large and luxurious theres always so much empty space, I'm terrible at it!

Yeah that's what I was thinking too! Or you could even split the current bathroom into two L-shaped pieces, have the door in the bend, toilet and sink at each end, and university shower.

You could split the bathroom into two by only having it be a washroom, and the kitchen sink be the only sink in each apartment

I would hate having the apartment with one window in real life! Lmao. But they’re gorgeous. The bathroom is tiny, but it might could have been divided into two separate bathrooms with just the university shower and tiny living sink and toilet. Is there bed in the second apartment accessibility?

You should do a let's play starting as a single young adult in the city who is fresh out of college. She/he has always been treated by their parents and now they have to learn how to live on their own because of their parent's unfortunate death. Or you could do a simple rags to riches, whichever you like i just came up with a city story line cause it sounded like something you would enjoy and i love New York city so ya.

You only need a toilet and a shower for a bathroom, so you could probably split the shared bathroom so they have their own.

Unfortunately every time I try this with roommates and give them the coolest spaces.. if I lock any door in the house the say the home is unfit and want to leave
The desk space in the first half of the video was a wasted space that could have been a bathroom considering you already put a Murphy bed
