I love that moment of Batman laughing. Outside of his whole "agent of the night, I am vengeance" spiel, people often forget that he was a kid too, and he never really had a childhood due to his parents dying. So him being soft to kids that might not wake up tomorrow was nice to see. Also, it's a relief seeing superheroes just being good people after reading Avengers Vs. X-Men last night.
Yeah there are a few other comics where he’s been very sweet to kids. Especially if there’s danger, he almost always rescues the kids and makes sure they are out of danger/wait for the police with them even if it means a villain slip away.

A great wholesome moment for not only Superman, but for the justice league. A nice Superman story helping some sick kids to have a good day. A sign of the humanity that Superman always has, reminds me why I love the character and consider him the greatest superhero of all.
It would be great if DC did a villain follow up to this story. They could have one of the kids post about their day with the heroes on social media and Joker gets jealous a kid told a joke that made Batman smile, so he kidnaps a bunch of Gotham sick kids and takes them on a tour of Arkham. The girl gets a little sad and tells Ivy that Ivy's plants have so many friends and now she's worried that her plant is lonely. Ivy tells her when she gets better, her plant can come and live with Ivy's plants and that makes both the girl and the plant happy. End the scene with Ivy and the girl hugging and the girl's plant moving and touching the girl, taking part in the hug. Cut to Two-Face brooding in his cell, not taking part. He sees a kid standing in front of his glass window, the kid's eyes visible but body shrouded in shadow. Two-Face yells at the kid to either quit staring or come closer to the window if he's brave enough. The kid steps into the light and he's covered in bandages, but you can clearly see burn scarring. He's holding a partially charred teddy bear. Two-Face features soften and his voice bubble switches from Face's harsh dialogue text to Harvey Dent's. He asks the kid his name and the kid says "Denton". He says, "Hi Denton, I'm Harvey." He asks Denton about his teddy bear and Denton explains it was his only possession to survive the fire at his apartment. Harvey exits his cell through his unlocked door and sits against his cell window next to Denton. He asks about Denton's family and Denton starts to cry and tells him he's the only one who survived the fire. Batman got there before the fire department did and Denton's mom insisted Batman get Denton to safety first. Harvey asks how Denton's been doing in the hospital. Denton tells him that he stays in a special hospital that Mr. Bruce Wayne owns, that everyone there has their care paid for. Harvey smiles and tells Denton, "You know what? I know Bruce Wayne. He lost his parents when he was a kid, too. He's a good person... and a good friend." This is so wholesome. This is what Superman is all about. He might be super but he's one of us common folks. People who say he's boring don't have the intelligence to understand him and his character.
Superman may be a multi-verse destruction threat and nearly be Unkillable But he was raised on a planet, where the average human lifetime is probably 85 years old to 90 years old, he understands how fragile humans are even though he has never been a human or, he understands what it’s like to live as a human. Superman’s more human than anybody
This is the kind of story a Superman movie deserves. Sure, maybe you can throw in some villains for action scenes, but the core of the movie should be a kindhearted Superman.
Superman was born on krypton, but grew up on earth. He experience how humans react to one another in a good way instead of the bad way he was raised by good people who brought up right, he knows right from wrong. It’s all right to make mistakes and it’s OK not to be perfect. Superman is more human than kryptonian. He understands was like to be hurt, alone and sick. He’s a decent human being. That’s why they call him the greatest superhero of all.
Im a huge marvel guy, wolverine, Punisher and Blade are my favorites in comics and film. But i will never argue with the fact that Superman is the greatest superhero of all time. He is THE superhero
We need more light hearted stories like this every so often. A nice relaxing story that tells the reader that the world can be a better place even with everything going on in the world. This is so wholesome. This is what Superman is all about. He might be super but he's one of us common folks. People who say he's boring don't have the intelligence to understand him and his character.
This is why Superman is special. His powers are amazing, but his heart and love for his fellow man are way more important.
oh would you look at that, a red puddle on my chair that USED to be my *heart*
THIS is what makes Superman a SUPER man.
I love how Batman in this comic is just ….
Superman may be a multi-verse destruction threat and nearly be Unkillable
But he was raised on a planet, where the average human lifetime is probably 85 years old to 90 years old, he understands how fragile humans are even though he has never been a human or, he understands what it’s like to live as a human.
It’s a simple but an affective story that gives people hope for a better tomorrow which perfectly describes Superman and what he stands for.
I came back to watch this again. I still teared up again. There really need to be more Super hero comic stories like this, where they just do a good deed and turn someone's day around.
Lately I've been following Twitter accounts that post stories of people doing things like this. It really brightens my day and outlook on the world.
Yep that’s the Superman we know and love.
Late 90s 2000s superman stories just wholesome and better compared to nowdays...
Absolutely wholesome and sweat. Really shows Superman being a real good kind soul and giving some kids a really good day.
We need this superman in film hes supposed to be EVERYONES hero
They don't just make them like they used to.
This is so awesome - why I love superman.
Hope James Gun reads the comics or watched this vid and put in the Justice League movie Someday.
Love how Batman's brooding but the kids are happy to see him.
He's everyone's favorite.
These onions😭
God! Think I’m gonna cry! That was epic!
Whether you like Superman or not he will all ways be the best superhero in Comics!❤🫡
Ten bucks says lateef just asked nicely and just covered for Batman
I bet the joke that made Batman crack a smile was something really silly like: "How do you make a tissue dance? You put a little boogie in it."
i remember reading a comic and seeing that batman told the joker a kid from metropolis was funnier then him lol
Superman is the pinnacle of good and if I actually met him I’d cry.
This is what superman is supposed to be. Kind hearted, child loving superhero.
I am tired of the usual superman gone rogue stories. They have ruined superman in a way.
im going to fxcking cry😢😢
For those wondering what joke the kid told, it’s:
What happens with BatMan when Wonder Woman walks in all naked?
His Dark Knight rises.
💀
How you know?
Joker's on suicide watch right now
This made me overwhelmed with emotion! This is so sad!
I miss when Superman was nice. Nowadays, we got so many evil versions of Superman
Superman Legacy will be different.
Superman is still quite nice in comics. People just focus more on the evil/alternate versions that pop up here and there.
Joker must be super jealous that a kid managed to make Batman smile with a joke and he couldn't.
There's so many "a new take on Superman" out there recently that funnily enough making Superman as his original self - a symbol of peace, justice and doing what's good - is actually a fresh idea. Just hope James Gunn followed this in this future new Superman movie.,
Villains on earth while all the heroes are busy in the watchtower: 🕺💃
Someone Tag James Gunn on this
