It is great that a perspective other than that of candidates supporting capitalism gets aired! She makes a very clear point on a number of occasions that her election will coincide with working people mobilizing independently of the election, independently of capitalist political parties. Jack Fink just keeps ignoring her explanation and barrels right on through with the same assumption that politics is only about an individual 'getting elected mayor'.
Alyson was married to my brother way back in the seventies. My brother (who has since passed away) looked exactly like the Meathead character on All in the Family back then. When the two of them came to our house to visit, it was like an episode of All in the Family, except it wasn't funny. All we heard from them was pure negativity and hate. Nothing constructive, nothing positive. She has been a socialist for over fifty years, and I often wonder why she continues her losing fight, especially when she only got 419 votes in the mayoral election. But I think she is really hurting and angry, and it is very deep-seated. She advocates for victims, but more importantly, POWER. It's all about control with her.....and she channeled it into her socialist views. But she will never succeed. She prefers to be the martyr for her cause. If she ever did succeed, she wouldn't know how to deal with it. She eventually divorced my brother, who remarried a very traditional woman. He never said a word about why they split up, but I assume it was a constant Power struggle. And if that was not it, the negativity and deep-seated hate for everyone and everything that disagreed with them and their politics grew like a cancer in their personal relationship. Sad, really sad. I still pray for that woman, but only God can truly reveal himself to her, because only God can penetrate the bitterness and hate that surround her. At this stage of her life, she will never change on her own. God help her, and God help us all.
@@rgreenberg35 Look around. That's why everyone hates each other now, and society is so morally bankrupt. No code structure or respect anymore. At least with faith and religion a people could aspire to hope and love. Most Socialist minded people I've known have deep seated anger issues and have a hard time moving on from whatever ills which caused them to see the world the way they do.

With people like you preaching the good book, I can't figure why young people are leaving religion in droves.

just another politician that wants to talk about problems rather then doing something about them
