This little message is just for me, my theorist side, rational side, and simp side. I very much simp for him, but a side of me very much dislikes what he did to eri. I do though, respect his determination to repay his pops and his intentions were to only better the world. (I get that this is all fictional but my nerd side really wanted to share my opinion on his character design and share some things people should take note on about him-) So! IMO he is a terrible person morally and generally, but speaking intention wise and dream wise, he just didn’t like the ideas of quirks. Specifically people who abused their power. (And in a way, he too, took advantage of his own quirk. Not just by abusing a child and putting pops to sleep, but just overall using it to the extreme.) and ofc, the actions he took were absolutely terrible. Again, a part of me thinks he deserved what he got, ( which was losing his arms) but at the same time, you do realize that his pops may never be able to wake, since he can’t overhaul him back. Everything was also, yet again, stripped from him. All was taken away. His dreams and chances, his coworkers and the father figured he looked up to dearly. And on the topic of pops, what he said to overhaul was terribly extreme. He could’ve been a bit lighter and chosen better words to explain what overhaul was doing was wrong. (Especially if we take into consideration that Eri is LITERALLY HIS GRAND DAUGHTER) and if anything, I think pops could’ve done smth about what Kai was doing to Eri.
