      Will McLawhorn my goal by next year is to either take Reid's class or John Lovell's. Best scenario is to take both of course

      swampk9 That’s exactly what I was thinking, John is amazing as well. It’s a dream of mine to take anything from Reid though. Working EMS isn’t a money maker though, so it’ll take me a while to save up for one of his classes. 😂

    great job Reid. I have been a firearms instructor for 19 year in NJ as a LEO. There is no requalification for firearms instructors under AG guidelines. Such a joke. Reid Henrichs - At the 1:45 mark, Reid, you said that you would start from the "low ready", or 45 degree muzzle down towards the bad guys feet, then raise the weapon for two shots. Yet, you started with your weapon on target, so WTF???!!!! Must be a Marine thing, LOL!!!

    Reid Henrichs great videos, what do you recommend as a carry gun and caliber? I'm a huge Glock fan, had two Glock 17's, love 9mm, but recently sold them and got into S&W M&P 45acp, I love how the 45 hits, it's fun to shoot, but the capacity is seriously lacking compared to 9mm. I know shot placement is everything, give me your opinion if you have a second. Rock on brother!

  • @user-rh3to9cu4x

    Can that be considered low ready? I'm not hating, I'm asking. I thought that low ready is when you put the gun close to your chest and point it down to the ground.

    • @wyliewolf1576

      The same as for anything below 25 yards. Ballistic drop is a non-issue at that range for 9mm. Ballistic drop at 50 yards is about 2 inches and about 12 inches at 100 yards.

    • @charliefoxtrot5001
      @charliefoxtrot5001 6 лет назад

      You have your priorities reversed! Skill is way more important than gear. Stop buying race gear and save for a class in shooting fundamentals. By the way, most people complaining about recoil do not grip the gun correctly.
      A muzzle brake or compensator on a handgun will not make you a better shooter for self defense! It just empties your pocket.
      Realize that a brake or compensator will help you with exactly 1 round out of 3 in a Mozambique drill (2:51 in the video below). It is also the least important round and the improvement can be measured in milliseconds.
      Reid has posted numerous videos with shooting drills. Work on those in the meantime. Focus on accuracy over speed. Speed comes over time.
