A Global Musical Voyage
The band Mago Zen’s proposal to its public
is an experience filled with influence from ethnic music,
a wide range of different styles.
The playlist is composed by some world-famous classical songs
that come from Rock and Roll,
MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), Polska,
traditional Irish music, Romanian, Italian,
Celtic and Arabic.
The band bets on their variety of songs and musical quality.
Each musician that is part of the band
brings their own influences to the project.
Each and every one of them has their own musical taste.
The band “MagoZen” now presents their new show
named “Around the Musical World Journey”,
which is a tribute to all the artists that make their talents
become the mirror of their souls.
Our history
It all started in the past century. In 1999,
a dreamer was searching for a genius idea
in his inner self, looking for the
philosophical stone which would change his life forever.
After many years of attempts and mistakes,
in 2005 the band “Mago Zen” was created.
It came from the combination of two different philosophies:
“the wizard” that comes from the occidental philosophy
called Zarathustra and from the oriental Buddhism.
At the beginning of the Project
its founder had in mind to bring music
of great quality to the citizens of his small city,
but his plans went way beyond that.
After having recorded the first Album
it was time for the first phonographic job
“O outro lado da ideia.” (The other side of the idea).
Between the two awards received in two different music state festivals
(Canção em Lá, which means “A song in A” and the FENAC festival),
the song called “Um Sonho Infantil” (A childhood dream)
brings to its listeners all the nostalgic feelings
of living a time when it was still worth it,
better saying, the best part of one’s life, the childhood.
Having this chemistry that mixes both,
music and visual arts all together,
the band excels with its irreverence
and profound musicality.
