Or is the sand used to make concrete?
I was recently surprised to learn that it is believed by classical anthropologists & historians that it was the ancient Romans who discovered the making of concrete!
They even re-inforced their concrete buildings with an ancient form of Rebar, using metal rods or hard wood trees & using it between layers of concrete!

Although i live in the far north of England, near the Scottish borders, ive lived & worked & had holidays all over the world
Ive nor been to Indonesia main islands , i did accompany an investigation team, researching new wild life in the water ways of Borneo!
Oh it was so hot & extremely humid, & the waterways & jungle were sometimes a bit daunting & intimidating especially at night & deep into the jungle!
I was there for just over 7 weeks & got abit used to the debilatating heat, it makes you so tired!
I enjoyed staying in the capital or main city of Sarawak once at the start of the teams expedition & again for nearly a week at the end of it.
Its very odd, to be in, of
all places, & so far from home
Yet to meet my Geography teacher from my school days in England, sitting in the same cafe as i sat... small world

& Merope was one of these Muses
