Lovely build, but I wouldn’t have expected anything less having seen your previous builds! Your discussion on the bridge grounding shows the cleverness of Fenders original design. Ground the strings through the pickup mounting plate which also holds the bridge, ground the pots through a metal plate to hold them rather than a plastic cover or holes in the body top. It’s only a couple of solder joints but it saves a little bit of time. Simple slab body, simple bolt on neck, so no glue expect for the fretboard, all adding up to less skill required at many stages of the build and a simpler thing to make in a factory setting. Also at the time they would have had a simple single-colour paint finish. The fact the tele is still loved and used by many shows it was a such a good concept, and makes a great canvas to do your own thing with such as here.
I love the old Fender tuner posts, I am surprised they were not widly copied when the patent ran out. I must also congratulate you on that burst, I see many Telecasters and including some Fenders where they get the red as a wide solid ring with zero fade, this makes the body look like an archery target, speaking of the body, seeing the pine grain show through the finish reminds me of the Esquire prototypes, its a real looker!
I've really enjoyed watching this build, thanks so much for sharing your journey back in time. As for the guitar, it's really beautiful... I'd be more than happy to own it. Congratulations on a job well done and congratulations too on hitting your subscription goal. Keep up the good work!
Fantastic journey and great idea back to basics right up my street, enjoyed every minute well done .👍👍👍🙏🎸🎸🎸I’m on a Tele project right now , double bound and sunburst, but never in your league I’m afraid but it’s fun learning and fixing my errors.
Congratulation, a beautiful Guitar you built there. And a great decision to not use pore filler on the wood, I love when you can see and feel the wood. Most modern guitars today use too have a thick layer off polyester coating on them. Shiny, but feels cold.
I love it ! I am a Tele guy so I watched this one closely. Now I am inspired to build a new Tele with binding, which I have never done. Awesome looking and sounding guitar.
I love the whole build of your Tele! I own a 1983 tobacco burst that I love and I made a white pearl pick guard for it and the only thing that I would change about your Tele is the pick guard. It’s yours, so do what you want! It IS gorgeous! What’s the next guitar(hope there is another build coming)? Thanxz
Every ashtray style bridge, I've ever encountered, grounded the same way. Guyatone, Kawaii/Teisco, Daimaru, Fresher, Daion, Apollo, Zenon, and many, many others.
An absolute credit to your skill and hard work. What a beautiful result Patrick. Have you ever considered making an accoustic guitar? Happy new year to you and Mrs Shed.
Checks a lot of boxes.
All the binding, truss rod style, quality hardware and pickups.
Enjoyed this series, TY. 🍻
Absolutely beautiful build. Every build you make is always a sure fire hit.

We watched all the episodes, and we have enjoyed this build!
Sounds excellent! I especially love that the texture of the wood grain is so visible when the light catches it!
Awesome Patrick. Love it. You made it look easy. The sign of a true professional. 👍🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

Great job!
I know that you’re going to go for the Ric 360 next, right? 😉
It lives!
I mean twangs!
😀😀
Another excellent job 👌🏻
Do you sell any of these guitars you make?
Nice guitar again. Next up? Doubleneck? Archtop jazzbox?
What pickups did you use?
Also, did you use 250k or 500k volume and tone pots?
👍
It's too pretty. You'll be afraid to gig it.
