Some of you are going to hate me for saying this, but I really enjoy the new heavier, groovier, uncommercialized direction the band is taking since Austin took his exit. Its a breath of fresher air.

For Aaron's first time singing he did good. Live he is also good. Taking up Clean and screaming vocals is tough and he's doing his best to major props

I know right?! I've always loved these guys, I got into them around when Shay left and I love Aaron, and he's an amazing frontman, just as amazing as Austin was. Austin wanted nothing more than to sing and tour but he can't anymore because of his disability, and he entrusted Aaron as the new frontman. Aaron has really stepped up since he first joined the band, and I've enjoyed all of their styles new and old 💕

For me, it's not the same. They said themselves it wasn't supposed to be the same without Austin. When Shayley left, I was bummed, but still happy we had Austin. Now that he's gone, I don't know. I can't listen to this stuff on a daily like I can songs from The Flood and Of Mice & Men. It is a step up from Cold World but I don't know. Austin's voice was just so unique, as was Shayley's. I wish them the best of luck.

I almost feel like Aaron has tried to become the new face of OM&M,and kinda made the band implement generic-ish songs, everything has been so lack luster to me, I mean some songs have an alright use of instrumentals, but every song has a mini breakdown, and he's trying to growl and scream like Austin did (which I get coz austin obviously cant anymore), but idk man. Just my opinion though, but ive lost it almost for OM&M, course I have started listening to bands like Veil of Maya, Periphery, and Architects a bit

Sk8foxx I mean Aaron has basically sounded the same since he was in Jamie's Elsewhere and if anyone could keep of mice going after Austin left I believe it's Aaron. I get where you're coming from though we are never going to get the glory days when Shayley was around but I think this sounds a lot better than their recent works with Austin. I'm also kind of biased towards Aaron, I was a huge fan of Jamie's Elsewhere with him and was sad when I heard he left for these guys. I feel like Austin was just taking them down a nu-metal road I wasn't really feeling. I respect your opinion though and get where you're coming from.

I’m gonna be honest we all miss Austin but I’m glad the band is still going. Cuz Aaron is amazing on vocals and terrific on bass. Yes I miss Austin but think of it this way, he’s not as in much pain anymore. Sure he was happy in the band but it’s always good to take care of yourself first before anything else. I’m sure one day when Austin gets better, he can rejoin the band but in the meantime, this band still rocks and still kills it

I have listened to A LOT of metal bands. But of mice and men has been one of the best in my opinion. I think it has even gotten better now that Aaron is the lead vocalist.

Again im super confused. They are back to being the heavy groove rythms of the self titled album which is everyone's favorite. This sound is most comparable to that easily. Yet people still complain. Goddamn if i was in a band I would never read comments. Its a shame because its good to get good honest feedback but the goddamn ridiculous hate being spewed here is just toxic and doesn't do any good for anyone.

Same, it just is not OM&M anymore, without the old members or at least Austin, it just is not the band we love. I want to love the band and enjoy the music but it just is not the band I loved in the past, the band that helped so many when no one else was around...
Limitless Beast I completely agree.. like .. I know bands, "change over time" .. but, it's not the same as Self titled and The Flood. I think they should change their name, but that's just my opinion.

This band was obviously better with Austin, but Aaron still kicks ass. Love the music, but Austin's lyrics meant a lot more. Aaron's lyrics feel very generic and there's no meaning to them. I'm sure this will improve with time, but it's nice to have OM&M back. Still my favorite band.
