I came to this video following suggestions for wind turbines. I just saw a video of the The Wind Tree, that was done by a French company called NewWind. Each leave turn with the wind and generate electricity. At this moment I am thinking the French company copied Mr. Whitaker's idea.
I could definitely see these in large scale power generators - much more public appeal than the typical fan blade littering the hillsides. Have you done any feasibility analysis or engineering drawings, along with wind gathering efficiency for a look at duplication in say a 100 foot size?
Everything about this is just so beautiful. The movement, the elegance, the simplicity - and the music... I would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me the the name of the song and the artist. :)

Do not build for real. Will mess up the bats,owls,eagles,hawks. Garden size max. Very cool.
