Pro tip: if involved in an accident and the other party are making themselves difficult, do not ever mention having a dashcam - instead let them go lie to the insurance. In 32 years of driving and being hit while parked several times, every single one of them tried lying to the insurance. Every single one, and I'm well above a dozen hits at this point, including a Stagecoach bus and a 7.5 ton van writing off 2 of my cars. Since I bought the first dashcam 4 years ago, I priced 3 of them out of driving. All of them invented a story of me being at fault, the dashcam footage did all the talking, since I was not in the car each and every time it happened. One of them got done extra (hit and run was reported to the police) because the footage had shown her not even wearing a seatbelt. The Stagecoach insurance tried to play dead until I called them back with a last notice before court action, the insurance covering the woman without a seatbelt also played dead, so my insurance took them to court, and provided my footage as evidence she parked on my bumper on purpose, then left it just like that. When initially confronted she did flat out deny all of it, as far as saying it was not her driving the car. Each and every time the insurance gives me the red carpet treatment for ''making our job so much easier'', one member of staff told her they internally call such cases a ''slam dunk''. My dashcams paid for themselves and the car several times over. Thanks for the video, I have just recommended that camera to someone who's after something that is good value for price.
