Chow Kit Road is well-known as a location for refugees. As far as I know, numerous organizations in Malaysia provide them with free meals on a daily basis. Maybe that’s why they still choose to stay on the road. For several times I joined this sort of movement of contributing free food to them and even teach their youngsters for refugeess school. Their parents may be employed near Chow Kit Road or homeless. But still be careful wherever you are and thank you for visiting our small and humble country
Random tip for going to the airport KLIA (since you can handle our train system) There is 2 lines that goes to KLIA: 1. KLIA Express is KL Sentral to KLIA (expensive RM49.50+) 2. KLIA Transit is Putrajaya to KLIA (cheap RM8.50+, slower) If you have time you can take MRT to MRT Putrajaya station then from there take KLIA Transit to KLIA. You can buy the KLIA Transit ticket online, they usually give a little discount if you buy online. A QR code will be send to you and you just need to scan that.
4:24 you just walked pass by my grand father's house. I must say it is quite a mess during night time because of the night market. Have to argue with the hawkers everytime I want to enter and exit the house because they block the entrance gate with their stalls every night like there's nobody living there.
you're crazy to go walking in the dark in the city back alleys at night. LOL i'm a local, and i don't even dare do that. i'm thinking you must have a black belt in jiu-jitsu. LOL but still, Malaysia is relatively very safe, but you still need to know the areas to avoid. enjoy the rest of your stay!
Hope you're enjoying your time here. It's funny because the place you bought the banana juice is very famous for its nasi lemak. Nasi lemak is one of the "must-try" foods when you come to Malaysia. (but not every place offers good nasi lemak) To me, Wanjo (the place you bought that banana juice) has one of the best tasting nasi lemak in Kuala Lumpur, so you must try it. But be warned that it can be quite 辛い if you're not used to spicy food. But it's worth the pain on your tongue! 😆

Malaysia is one of the safest country in Asia, if not the world. As a frequent traveller, you should know that there are designated areas in every city or town that one shouldn't venture into at certain time of the day. These are the so called rough neighbourhoods. Be extra cautious especially after dark when going near these rough places. So do your research thoroughly before travelling to any country and you'll be fine!😅
From 18:29 you are actually entering the infamous Lorong Haji Taib area. That place used to be a gathering place for okamas and prostitutes offering sex services and drug addicts so it used to be somewhat dangerous place. Now you still can see okamas and vagrants even though they are not that many compared to 10-30 years ago. Thankfully, there is a police station there to provide security so it is a safer place now although you still need to be careful. The place where locals called bundle from 3.164181, 101.698119 to 3.164425, 101.696250 used to be very lively even during normal days because that was the only place where you can find many used clothing vendor in one spot so there are a lot to choose from and bargain and it used to be opened until 2-3 am. Nowadays it looked like it lost its glory. Not many people are visiting that place anymore.
a Ronin wondering the streets of my country looking for dangerous places... hahaha🤩. to spot danger in malaysia, look at your suspect's body language.. if he doesn't act like normal Malaysian who usually looks chillin, happy or shy or lost in thought... beware!!! stranger danger... naked men ask for RM5.... for what service bro... hahaahaha🤣... suspicious bro.. hmm even our naked people does not give dangerous vibe to you in Kuala Lumpur i wish and pray that you will get mug anywhere bro.. have a nice adventures in Malaysia🥰
