Supported range: G3/G#3-D5 At best: G3-E5 Christina has a very developed range but her biggest strength is her belting range. She has very strong support in the G#4-C5 range and consistenly supports up to D5/Eb5. Remarkably, she maintains relative ease and good volume all the way up to F#5 with minimal-to-no strain and has shown support up to E5 a few times. Above D5 she tends to loose diaphragmatic engagement leading to airy and throaty belts at times preventing support.
it was like the head voice, maybe the mix voice but I doubt it a bit given her background in music, she can play well with the sound of her head voice and do whatever it is with the chest like rock singers
I mean, she has a beautiful tone when she sings low notes (she's an alto btw), but when she goes to higher ones, you can clearly hear the tension in her voice. Some of them sound very throaty. But I gotta give props to her, she's done great progress throughout the years :)
woah great video! idk why Christina doesn't sing more low notes in studio, but I think I kinda get it? her studio low notes are inaudible sometimes. BUT her live low notes are VERY audible sometimes. Maybe it just depends on the day?
I have this feeling that Christina can go higher than G5 with her mix😭 but she’s holding back I feel like. Maybe I’m reading too much into this but like it isn’t just me
@@cimorellivocalshowcase exactly my thoughts, I just want to know why she hasn’t like tried, she literally stops her range at G5 and it has me so curious
@@bored4110 I think she doesn't like to 'try'. Like she's the type that if she does it, she'll make sure it's polished and really good first. I mean from 2016-2018 her range literally increased bit by bit from F5 to F#5 to G5. Amy likes to mess around and 'scream' and so does Dani when she was in the band. They like to experiment with their voices. Christina doesn't, it seems like :')
oh 17:26, 17:40 and 17:46 were Christina? when I first heard the ones in Happier Than Ever, it did sound like her but I just assumed it was Lisa because well I assume all harmonised highs are Lisa hahah sometimes I wish all the girls told us who sings what harmonies it what songs but that'll destroy the magic I guess :')
Yes, it really is her. I was a little surprised when I found out why it seems that only Lisa records harmonies mainly in the highs. Usually only Lisa and Christina record the harmonies with little additions from the others (Amy on bass, Lauren in head voice) but I'd like to see Lauren, Kath and Amy too
@@cimorellivocalshowcase right? from what they've told us, Lisa or Christina will record like the demo harmonies and the others will sing the harmonies appropriate for their voices. so Lauren/Lisa taking the highest ones, etc. btw, how do you know it's Christina? do you have an app/website you use to listen to the harmonies more clearly? (only asking because I love a lot of groups and this info means I can do my own digging hahah)

Yeah, her studio low notes actually have less volume, but it's PROBABLY a technique she, Kath and Lauren use.
@@cimorellivocalshowcase that makes sense!
