From en editing to standpoint and making the viewer feel something , having Arthur's crawl cut in between all the moments in his journey was fucking brilliant , even now after the playing the game 5 times and knowing where the story ends watching him Crawl and watching him try to save people I'm always hoping for a different outcome like maybe he would make it to safety , but always really knowing at the end the most he finally gets is to be able to " rest" as the song says really really well done thanks for the video
After ending the arthur part for the first time, and not seeing his corpse, I thought that Arthur still alive because of (Schrödinger's cat theory) and the fact that many games did it before, that why it was a strong shock for me when Charles said that he buried him himself, I lost faith.
This song matched much better with Arthur's death than Stand Unshaken. The battle is won, now its time to rest. I accidentally saw spoilers in a youtube comment about how Micah "killed" Arthur. Of course that ruined my experience with the game, or that was what I thought. When I was fighting Micah I just expected the moment in which Micah killed Arthur, I thought that Micah would shoot him in the back or something. But that never happened. Arthur won the fight. Micah left knowing he couldnt defeat a dying man, a man who was better than him in all aspects. A good man. Arthur and Sadie managed to save Jack, Abigail, John, Tilly, Mary Beth and Pearsons. Although life punished Arthur, he had his Redemption

Only A Way Out has made me actually cry, but this game is now the second. This game changed the way that I played games. This is now my favorite game from now on. No other game can change that.
This was gorgeous. Arthur got a happy ending, he died knowing he tried his best to be a better man, he really saw that survival wasn't everything, he gave people a new life and did what he was trying to stop all that time, he ushered in the next generation. A kinder and better one. He saw what life really was, he recognised the fire in his eyes.
I could never decide who i love more: john or arthur but everytime its the small things that my hearth say arthur but its like a close race between them both
Arthur Morgan is the kind of man everyone wants as a friend. He’s not perfect, but once you earn his loyalty, he’ll always have your back. RIP Arthur Morgan
It’s been a while since I finished this game but somehow, I still tear up a bit when hearing this song and when remembering all the good time I had with Arthur and this game. It was so much more than just a regular video game, it actually had a meaning that ended up being very deep. What a masterpiece
Arthur was never inherently a bad man. You can tell in the story where he starts switching how he handles things, where he sheds the act he so obviously learned from Dutch about how to be a “proper outlaw”, and starts acting on his own morals and heart. He frivolously donates money, he refuses to stop shepherding people to a better life, he fights tooth and bloody nail to give people something he lost. A choice. Something he finally learned is the most important thing in life.
I only just now finished readdead 2 for the first time this year on xbox 1. After beating the main story and just about 100% of everything else, i gotta say i was pissed at myself for waiting this long to give the game the chance it deserved. This video perfectly captures everything that makes this game such a masterpiece to me. The characters and storys your told along the way on your journey, thats what stuck with me. Thank you for making this edit. This video convinced me to play through this game again on my new PC
ff7 may be my fav game of all time but no other character made me feel emotion the way arthur morgan did you don't become him you simply get to witness his journey and it is one of the greatest ever told
I didn't cry, I was just in shock, felt a bit lost after playing the game, immediately ordered number 1. I was gutted Arthur died. Would be great if they did a prequel to this prequel. He was just so real but not real. Weird feeling.
The agents that labeled him as a bad person, were hypocrites. They'd convince themselves that they were doing good things, to hide the their own crimes. Arthur was aware of his bad deeds, but he made up for them, with good deeds in the end. That's more than I can say for Dutch, Micah and those agents.
This game made me cry like baby I have never cried in my life for a video game but this game 🥲 this story hats of to the rockstar for this frikin masterpiece thanks a lot.
Would have been better if there was more about the relationship between John and Arthur as their relationship is such a core part of his arc. He starts of still so hurt by him leaving the gang for that year, but eventually falls back into the older brother role, restoring the bond they once had and ultimately making giving his kid brother a newife with his family is the last thing he ever does. It's such an emotional scene when he puts his hat John's head before his final stand, such an elderly brother moment.
