There are two versions of the 911 trend, after adding mrs. afton one couldn't even expect violence in this version. Honestly, I thought it would be something like she caught Afton killing one of the children, not that she was a victim of Afton. I wouldn't watch it like that, as a former victim of domestic violence, for obvious reasons. But I'm used to the scenes of violence - not torture, because I'm sensitive to it despite watching a lot of horror movies. Sure, it's fiction, but I think I'm not the only one who can be touched by fiction. There is a version where Afton is not afraid to scare children, but in this version Afton actually looks like someone who would do such a thing, in this version it doesn't look like that at first glance. In fact, I know that Afton in the canon killed children sooner, and there is no mention of violence against the family. But the terrible fact is that such an interpretation could be made and it would also make sense, Afton at some point became too much of a Div, so domestic violence cannot be ruled out. Even the fan version suggests that he killed children and didn't care about his own children and punished them only with silence and his indifference, but nothing else. So there are fewer versions where Afton actually used violence against his own family than those where Afton killed children while keeping it a secret. Yes, even the versions that take place after this hell/ordeal are not that violent for the most part.
Of course, I prefer this version in most cases, because the nature of how scoot himself presents Afton indicates that he used violence more than once, but not on his family, but on others. The second version of the 911 trend is the trend where the murderer himself explains in the background: 911 I kill/try to kill/I am a murderer'
