He was 5 yards deep in the end zone. The practice field marks the 15 yards within the end zone and resets at goal line. It traveled 70.

Even if that were true, which from the video (if doc really wanted to prove it, it wouldnt be so heavily cut/edited) it doesnt look like he is in a "15 yard deep endzone" (endzones are only 10). you can only add 10 yards maximum (5 to the -5), meaning the throw would go from 57-58 yards to 67-68. so he's still short.
He’s not 5 yards into anything. It clearly shows the 10> marker showing that he is in fact on the field and that there just isn’t an end zone on the practice field. He only threw 58 yards

I looked at it and he threw from the 5-yard line and hit the opposing 37 or 36 yard tick so between 57 and 59 yards (Doc was slightly over the line: maybe one yard at most). Still a sick throw.

If it dropped at the 37 and he threw from goal line then itd be a 63 yard throw, but since he threw it from the 5 yard line then you subtract the 5 from the 63 and it becomes a 58 yard pass

if the length of the full field is 100 yards and he hit the 36 and was on the 5 we take the full length, subtract 36 for where it hit, then 5 for where he stood for X=100-36-5. X=59, therefore he threw 59 yards. I did this with my kids for math class lol.

So the confusion is coming in because there is no endzone on the end of the field where doc is standing. .It's a practice field. The 49ers practice field stops at the 1 yard line on the end doc was standing. He was at the 5 but it looked like the endzone... the other end does have a goalpost and endzone but, the end he was at did not..
