Unfortunately, no. Capturing will only reward you with Carapaces, Thoracics, and hearts in high rank. To get their horns you have to break them. I believe you may need to break both of them as well, I think that's how Rajang works, so this is probably similar. So if you need a Blood Red Horn, then you should do low rank, but if you need a Top Grade Red Horn, you HAVE to do high rank, since there's no chance to get it in low rank.

I gotta ask, since I genuinely dont know, do Dung bombs not exist in this game? Like you can't toss em to make monsters leave the area? I learn everything about MHFU by watching your videos, since I don't own the game myself, so I legitimately don't know anything that you haven't covered. I only ask because even in multi monster hunts I have never seen you carry em.
tl;dr they dont work as well as in other games :( Dung Bombs are in MHFU, but they don't work like in other games. They will make monster run away but only if it hasn't seen you yet, and you have to throw the bombs close enough to the monster. I tried it at least on Rathalos and Rathian and as long as they didn't see me (Rathalos I think noticed me but didn't aggro, it still worked) they left the area every time. As long as the monster isn't fighting you (which tbh isn't often) you can throw one close to it and it should leave. This could be useful if you notice a monster coming into the area, but not aggro'd on you yet, to get it to run away. But once they see you, it's too late. It's not great. They're also supposed to make it harder for Khezu to know where you are, but I haven't seen that work LITERALLY at all, Khezu has no problem whatsoever finding me when I throw dung bombs around, it actually didn't seem to make it leave either, so maybe Dung Bombs don't work on all monsters. A lot of people say Dung Bombs work on Khezu but I think they're just talking out of their ass, I haven't seen a single thing to back that up. They work like Smoke Bombs, except the area is filled with a brown smoke... lol, instead of white. Don't try and hit a monster with it, it'll just go right through it. If you stand still while using it you'll throw it at your feet. Maybe I'll make a video about it sometime. Maybe, lol
@@HeadHunter455 that's actually fascinating, I had no idea it was so weird and janky in MHFU. Thanks for the lengthy explanation, I learned something new today xD
i crafted the blastion cannon just for this quest. cutting tails is uh....not for me 😅 and is guard +1 and guard inc same? Im not so sure myself haha. I use the olive colored daimyo set 😂
Guard+1 and Guard+2 reduce the recoil of blocked attacks, also reduces the stamina loss from blocking, for example when blocking heavier attacks, you can't move because your character is still recovering from the block, or even gets sent backwards, Guard+1/+2 will reduce the effects of that. GuardInc on the other hand will let you block otherwise unblockable attacks, for example Rajang's Thunder Beam is unblockable unless you have GuardInc. passing up a lot of easy hits. always swing once you clear the legs on charge and always take a side ways swing when it borrows. if its enraged it will come up fast and your sword will already be out to block.
Monoblos isn't white like White Monoblos is, and Diablos has two horns. tbh, in the older games, I don't know how much really is different, I'm sure there's something, but like Rathalos and Azure Rathalos, it's probably something smaller like their behavior and what they're most likely to do, and how they'll do it. Unfortunately, I dunno really what it is, as it's not really been completely relevant. Monoblos is a singleplayer only monster, so there's also that.
Hey men a little question, I have everything for the armour but I need one more thing and idk from where I can take it, somebody tell me I can obtain the thing I need smashing the shell of a hermitaur with a hammer but idk, is one of the material for the armor

Was disappointed By this quest cuz I thought it would take more than 30 minutes. I cleared it in 15 minutes smh all monoblos died while struggling in the sand when I sonic'd them smh well good thing I reached grank before doing nekoht quests
yeah I really wish quests would take around two hours each honestly. I think giving us a 50 minute timer is just so dumb, the quest should be an experience, it should be an adventure. When I'm grinding for an armor set or a weapon, I want to climb mount Olympus, I want it so when I reach my goal I am broken and battered and thoroughly unwilling to do it ever again and to want to stop playing the game because the quest takes way too damn long... Also, maybe you should prepare less if you're finishing quests at the same rate as every other person who's played the game before you. You'll have a longer and much much better time then.

This one is really hard, I can barely beat the low rank version of this guy, this time I notice they are faster even when not raged, a little mistake like getting caught in a tail swipe, the one where they adjust they're movements and it's over not time to recover
Yeah, Nekoht's quests use G Rank move sets, and that usually means they're generally faster.
Something I kinda like is how they're faster when they burrow, so there's less down time in the fight, but it also makes it harder of course lol
This is a tough fight, maybe try a different weapon? Pellet bowguns work particularly well against them.
Im actually stuck here too.... got no high rank armour yet tho....wanted to get the hunter set( the orange one) couldn't complete it..cuz ratholos plate....
Oof
Well, hopefully my gear recommendations can help get you through it 😣😣
Good luck!
when i was like 8
I finished this quest by spamming from barrel bomb L +
Flash bombs and sonic bombs
and shock traps with the ravager blade
it took me like 48 minutes nearly failing the mission 😭
oof! Well damn, I'm glad you got through it though! haha
It'd really suck going through all that and then timing out :c
that was intense
😅😅😅
i thought this quest was easy when i brought 40 sonic bombs. i tried the quest without sonic bombs. and it took me like 40 minutes to fin.
I was expecting to use more sonic bombs tbh, didn't realize they come up so quickly after burrowing.
I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.
@@HeadHunter455
No, I think you can still do this quest without Sonic Bombs because they expose their tail when they emerge back.
@@HeadHunter455
Flash Bombs are a whole lot better.
Sonic Bombs are for Plesioth.
My tactic in this quest:
1. Hit the leg until its grounded
2. Hit the head
3. Repeat.
Could I use the True Devil Slicer aswell?
Great video btw!!
Yeah that'd probably be fine, thanks! 🙂
Does capturing these monster's yield horns as a reward? I already finished this urgent quest but want to farm their materials for that sweet hammer upgrade.
Unfortunately, no.
Capturing will only reward you with Carapaces, Thoracics, and hearts in high rank. To get their horns you have to break them. I believe you may need to break both of them as well, I think that's how Rajang works, so this is probably similar.
Here are links to Monoblos and White Monoblos carve/loot information:
monsterhunter.fandom.com/wiki/Monoblos_Carves#MHF2/U
monsterhunter.fandom.com/wiki/White_Monoblos_Carves#MHF2/U
Good luck!!
@@HeadHunter455 Ooh you get 100% reward for breaking their horns at low rank. Might settle for those instead of fighting these abominations in high rank. 😅
Well, yeah, those are the low rank horns, if that's what you need. Keep in mind some materials are only obtained from High and G-Rank. So if you need a Blood Red Horn, then you should do low rank, but if you need a Top Grade Red Horn, you HAVE to do high rank, since there's no chance to get it in low rank.
This is fun
😄😄
I hope you'll do mhp3rd guides btw nice hunt
maybe
I wish I am so good with the Greatsword.. but I suck so hard with this weapon. :(
But hey my GL is good! X)
And great Video c:
Monoblos, Diablos and Gravios are annoying and boring Monsters because of the limited moveset.. Charge, roar, charge charge charge charge, roar, dig/firebeam.
lol, thanks! :)
Yeah I wish I were better with some weapons, just need to practice more.
mega potions start becoming tasteless lol. I have done this quest about 5 years ago. Probably with lance I can't really remember it because at that time I was just 8 or 9. Or I am the one who was stuck at this quest haha
Should've used the Greatsword.
Sad to say that you can't beat this game version with lance, dual blades, sword and shield, hunting horns and gunlance and they seem pretty useless weapons in the game. weapons Gswords, Lswords, Hammer and bowguns are the only weapons you can use to beat difficult quests lmao.
@@leagueoflegends4466
You need Dual Swords for the DPS against Fatalis and Lao Shan Lung though.
Longsword is also great for that, I suppose.
Lance is great if you're fighting defensively but we're not, really.
@@leagueoflegends4466 my first weapon is hunting horn lol because my elder brother told me that hh is op,it can use buffs and ko enemy. 😂
@@leagueoflegends4466
Some wyvern attacks seem unblockable but easy to dodge though so Dual Swords.
I gotta ask, since I genuinely dont know, do Dung bombs not exist in this game? Like you can't toss em to make monsters leave the area? I learn everything about MHFU by watching your videos, since I don't own the game myself, so I legitimately don't know anything that you haven't covered. I only ask because even in multi monster hunts I have never seen you carry em.
tl;dr they dont work as well as in other games :(
Dung Bombs are in MHFU, but they don't work like in other games.
Thanks for the lengthy explanation, I learned something new today xD
i crafted the blastion cannon just for this quest. cutting tails is uh....not for me 😅
and is guard +1 and guard inc same? Im not so sure myself haha. I use the olive colored daimyo set 😂
Guard+1 and Guard+2 reduce the recoil of blocked attacks, also reduces the stamina loss from blocking, for example when blocking heavier attacks, you can't move because your character is still recovering from the block, or even gets sent backwards, Guard+1/+2 will reduce the effects of that.
GuardInc on the other hand will let you block otherwise unblockable attacks, for example Rajang's Thunder Beam is unblockable unless you have GuardInc. You can check here for a list of attacks and which ones require GuardInc to be blocked:

Not yet, it's comin up eventually

How to get kut ku ear?? I've been hunting yian kutku but never find 1
U need to target his head until his ear is broken......
Sorry my english is bad T^T
@Zack Rezz
Thats like asking someone to carve a Monoblos Heart for your Valentine's day.
passing up a lot of easy hits. always swing once you clear the legs on charge and always take a side ways swing when it borrows. if its enraged it will come up fast and your sword will already be out to block.
cool
Good to know Im not the only fossil playing this game in 2021... xDDD
This game is an undeniably difficult game of its time so not everyone can speedrun it.
One horn diablos pls
soon™
Ur supposed to run them into the wall, that’s the best part
Please make a Black Gravios guide. I have 1000+ hours of MHFU but to this day I still hate that douche.
Maybe one day 😅😅

difference between monoblos and white monoblos
and difference in diablos and monoblos? beside name

Too many problems that can be solved with a dung bomb. Is it explained why the dung bomb was not used in this tutorial?

Hey men a little question, I have everything for the armour but I need one more thing and idk from where I can take it, somebody tell me I can obtain the thing I need smashing the shell of a hermitaur with a hammer but idk, is one of the material for the armor
monsterhunter.fandom.com/wiki/Hermitaur_S_Armor_(Blade)
Are you talking about the Wyvern Skull Shell?
It's from Ceanataur's shell, you can break it with any damage type, unlike hermitaur.
Oh is from the ceanataur, well now i have a lot of piece of hermitaur xd
Is any ceanataur or the ceanataur from high rank?
The worst urgent quest in the game tbh.

I am not sure why your aim looks so suck, but watching game play like this makes my finger itchy to play again :3
I fucking hate this quest my guy
