I kind of feel bad for Oleana. In the animated short, Rose gave her the respect she wanted and the strength to continue her research. Now that he’s gone, she lost the one person who she looked up to the most. It’s even more heartbreaking to think about it since she traveling all the way to the crown tundra just to look for him.

I mean at least its not as dark as Sun and Moons family issues when it comes to Guzma, Lillie, and Gladion. Reminds me kinda like the first time a villian had actually died in pokemon rather than being taught the error of their ways, forced to retreat into hiding, or being arrested. X and Y was dark as hell with its lore and story.

Seeing Oleana in the Crown Tundra, I can't help but get this strong feeling that she'll be the major antagonist, in the manga version of Crown Tundra. Knowing Pokémon Special manga, the villains are portrayed much darker than their game counterparts. It happens many times.
Ooo, someone who likes the less popular characters, eh? I never really hated any of em either. After reading their league cards I actually felt really bad. Bede and Oleana got dragged along for a ride they weren't quite informed of. Bede himself got done so dirty by Rose (likely unintentionally), because Rose just gave an ostracized kid in an orphanage a Pokemon and endorsed said kid because he was strong (without realizing Bede probably saw him as a parental figure he wanted to impress, then just casually discarded him after providing no guidance). I'm really glad Opal got to Bede and is helping him improve. As for Avery, his family situation's also not ideal; I feel bad that his stuck-up psychic family thinks so little of him just because he doesn't use his abilities the same way. I'm happy he inherits the gym eventually, after spending time in a much less stressful and kind environment like the dojo.
I wont watch this in case it turns out to have spoilers for the CT, so i'll just say this: that thumbnail alone is a perfect demonstration of one of the best parts of the DLC (especially the crown tundra from what i've experienced), that is that the comedy and writing is freaking genius and i love it. Characters have so many hilarious short quips and quotable one-liners (cough cough "the suspense here is killing me" cough cough) that just makes it sssssoooooo damn charming. Whoever the writers were for this needs to stay permamently, the dialogue alone makes this DLC a 10/10 purchase.
I still wish this extra plot thread had gone somewhere - running into Oleanna all over Galar after this while she looks for Rose, helping her find him, maybe having the two brothers running into one another. This is still a funny little side bit though.

So what's the criteria for seeing her? I talked to Peonia and I went to the spot at night, but she's never there. I even did it at like 4 am, and I completed all of Peony's missions and caught all the field legendaries (but not the dynamax adventures ones, or Regigigas). Is there something I'm missing?
I’m confused. Didn’t Rose turn himself in at the end of the main story? You’d think after nearly destroying the entire region he’d be facing some kind of time behind bars. I know would at least want to know WHERE someone that radical and dangerous was.
He IS behind bars. You’re told Rose turned himself in by choice for what he did. Oleana says in the video that she’s well aware Rose is still in jail, but went to instigate the Crown Tundra because she’s been hearing rumors that Rose has been running around there-when in reality, it was just his brother.

And in this scene Oleana says “Where are you, my....” She’s looking for Rose and she seems dejected at there being no sign of him. It wouldn’t make sense for her to look for him with such fervor if she knows he’s in the slammer.
Oh thank god, I was praying I'd see more of this woman soon! I wasn't sure what to make of her until she went bat-shit crazy on you when you fight her, and now she's probably in my top 5 favourite Pokémon characters. Even more so when I learnt of her background :(
Is there a requirement for this? I talked to Peony's daughter, and she told me about the "long haired woman" in the cemetery. But every time I go there at night, Oleana is never there, never.
@@bornana269 one of my friends unlocked it by playing a lot the 2vs2 tournament a lot of times, maybe doing a certain number of plays of the tournament will trigger the encounter
So it just happened after 3 nights of nothing. I think the key is not to use the system time change because I tried countless times before and the game recognizes it in daily events and won't let you proceed. But then I gave up and suddenly she showed up, 2 or 3 days after that.

Rose is in jail. Oleana got community service. She's originally in the mines in the main game's after story. I guess she didn't go to jail because she was technically an accessory? idk. But I'm pretty sure a getaway driver gets a lighter sentence than the robber, so it'll be the same case with Rose (who made up the plan) and Oleana who just helped with it (but didn't seem to know the true dangers?)

Can anyone try this?: 1. Set clock to around 11:30Pm at night, 2. talk to Peonia until she mentions Oleana, 3. Battle PeonY right next to her, 4. then go check for Oleana?
So what's the criteria for seeing her? I talked to Peonia and I went to the spot at night, but she's never there. I even did it at like 4 am, and I completed all of Peony's missions and caught all the field legendaries (but not the dynamax adventures ones, or Regigigas). Is there something I'm missing?

I’m confused. Didn’t Rose turn himself in at the end of the main story? You’d think after nearly destroying the entire region he’d be facing some kind of time behind bars. I know would at least want to know WHERE someone that radical and dangerous was.

He IS behind bars. You’re told Rose turned himself in by choice for what he did. Oleana says in the video that she’s well aware Rose is still in jail, but went to instigate the Crown Tundra because she’s been hearing rumors that Rose has been running around there-when in reality, it was just his brother.

@@harveycustodio2625 I was thinking the same thing but even though we are told he turned himself in we are never told that he actually received a prison sentence. And in this scene Oleana says “Where are you, my....” She’s looking for Rose and she seems dejected at there being no sign of him. It wouldn’t make sense for her to look for him with such fervor if she knows he’s in the slammer.
Maybe she thought he was doing some community service?
Oh thank god, I was praying I'd see more of this woman soon! I wasn't sure what to make of her until she went bat-shit crazy on you when you fight her, and now she's probably in my top 5 favourite Pokémon characters. Even more so when I learnt of her background :(

@@bornana269 one of my friends unlocked it by playing a lot the 2vs2 tournament a lot of times, maybe doing a certain number of plays of the tournament will trigger the encounter

So it just happened after 3 nights of nothing. I think the key is not to use the system time change because I tried countless times before and the game recognizes it in daily events and won't let you proceed. But then I gave up and suddenly she showed up, 2 or 3 days after that.

can someone help me out? i spoke to peonia and she mentioned the long haired woman but when i get to the area she's supposed to be at, shes not there. I have finished all the main story quests and it's nighttime...
Followed all the steps but she still isn't appearing for me.
I love how expressive Oleana is, meanwhile when Peony is saying "Come off it", he has a flat expression while his head rotates back and forth in a very robotic fasion.
One thing: Her appearance is random. I have all necessary things done, but she didn't appear so far for me.

Well the rumors where probably from people seeing Peony and being confused as hell, thinking it was Rose. She heard those rumors and like the crazy lady that she is, went on a wild goose hunt
Rose is in jail. Oleana got community service. She's originally in the mines in the main game's after story. I guess she didn't go to jail because she was technically an accessory? idk. But I'm pretty sure a getaway driver gets a lighter sentence than the robber, so it'll be the same case with Rose (who made up the plan) and Oleana who just helped with it (but didn't seem to know the true dangers?)

does she only appear on certain days or something? i've tried going to the cemetery at various times of night, after getting the line from Peonia several times, after completing the main story, several max raid adventures, and the Galarian star tournament. cannot get her to show up
edit: i got her to show up. absolutely no idea what caused it, but i spent some time just messing around with the time settings, and when i synced the time to the Internet again she suddenly showed up. hopefully that helps anyone with the same problem? still clueless as to why it happened
