Luc Alphand wins downhill (Kitzbühel 1995)

Luc Alphand of France took two downhill victories in one day in January 1995 on the famous Streif piste in Kitzbühel, Austria, winning the first race ahead of Patrick Ortlieb (AUT) and Kristian Ghedina (ITA). This was memorable race also for the big crash of the Italian Pietro Vitalini who rolled over the fence and ended up in thick layer of snow. Despite that crash Vitalini took part in the second scheduled downhill that day and took excellent 5th place.
