You know its Troy Baker, but if you close your eyes for a second you can visualize Mr. Ford. He's done a great job imo.

I really hope they lean in on the exploration, lore and 'secret hidden history' side of the Indiana Jones franchise.
From the same people who brought us the modern Wolfenstein games, I think this could be a real winner. You can see the Wolfenstein DNA in the gameplay and how it would feel, feels like it fits really well

That section where you had to run and whip jump across gaps while some huge object chases you had me stuck! Had to turn off the music and calmly focus, lmao! Great game though!

Ok. I have my doubts, but if Machine Games' other outings are anything to go by, I think there is a high chance of this game being one of the greatest Indiana Jones experience of all time, especially since you'll be directly in the shoes of the man himself.

I love how they got Harrison Fords iconic finger point on point! The only issue I have with this game is that its first person. I hope it works as well as they claim it will.

Man, 2024 has been a very good year for gamers. We had Helldivers 2, Manor Lords and recent KCD2 announcement which I'll definitely be sinking my life into when it launches, and now this. This looks really promising.
If this can build upon what the Tomb Raiders and Uncharteds from before have done, this can be good. Good puzzle solving, resource management, with immersive cut scenes, with solid acting and story telling. The VA impersonating Mr. Ford is pretty convincing. I can tell im gonna be hovering over walk through guides just to find all the secrets
would've much preferred a third person camera angle and the option for first person. Learn from the best Indiana Jones game ever made Emperor's Tomb.

My mom has been the biggest fan of Indiana Jones and last year we went to watch the latest movie Indiana Jones and the dial of destiny in the cinema and it was her first time at the cinema. Because of her, I am big a fan of Indiana Jones and Im so excited to tell her about this now.
The very first movie I saw with my dad in the movie theater that wasn't a children's movie was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. 35 years later it's my all time favorite move because of that. It's on TV all the time and I can still hear my dad laughing during the funny parts. I hope you can look back in 35 years and do the same.

Hopefully there will be the option to play in 3rd person. I personally can’t stand 1st person games. It’d be one thing if it was a true POV like VR or something, but regular video game 1st person is just way too narrow of a field of view. At this point, there is no reason games shouldn’t just offer both fields of view.
@@STSGuitar16 True Indiana Jones should be focused as a 3th person game similar to Tomb Raider and Uncharted, or simply add both options and let the player choose. I'm not a big fan of FPS apart from online shooters but this is an single player adventure game.
@@HiddenGameGems I am personally a big fan of the assassins creed games, so I also prefer my single player adventure games in third person. Actually, a lot of the sort of temple/dungeon visuals in this trailer reminded me a lot of the dungeons in the older AC games. The game looks super cool and I love the various settings, but yeah, forcing us to play only first person is honestly a dealbreaker for me.

@@Brookpitlik to each their own. I personally hate the massively limited field of view. It’d be one thing if it was true first person view like with a vr headset, but regular video game first person does nothing but cut out 35% of your field of view. I like being able to see the environments I’m in and have the context of my surroundings. First person is terrible for all of that. At least give the option to switch between the two views.

Todd always seems like he truly wants to bless gamers with things that he believes will be special for us. The execution doesn't always turn out great, but can't really blame him for all of that. I think this will be a good one for lifelong-fans of Indy like me. Those movies are responsible for my love of history and archeology today.

Machine Games (Former Starbreeze) remind why I love Video Games in the first place A sense of Adventure, Awesome Scenarios, Strong Art Direction And The Best Fucking Cutscenes In The Industry. Their games just ooze with Style and Uniqueness rarely seen, being it in Movie or Videogame Format. I really hope they will Capitalize on their ability of putting the player in unforgettable moments. Think of Seeing the Volkshalle, Walking Through Nazi Occupied Roswell, Infiltrating Camp Belica, the Berlin Train Scene, Discovering about space history London Nautica, Mowing Down Nazis in a Wheelchair etc. , that's some awe dropping stuff.
Truly hoping there is a 3rd person option. Can’t stand first person games. Just such a limited field of view. I’m hoping they will at least give us the option of playing in 3rd.

@@danielchapter70128 yeah, being locked on first person is honestly a deal breaker for me. I just can’t stand first person stuff unless it’s like VR where you have a true first person view. It’ll be a big mistake if they don’t include that 3rd person option. In the year 2024, every new game should have the option to choose between both of them. It can’t be that hard to include that feature in the game anyway, especially considering some parts of the game actually do zoom out for 3rd person. The hard work is already done there, so why not include it? But yeah, despite how cool this looks and the awesome locations, I won’t be playing it unless they have a 3rd person option.

I’m not against 3rd person view but I think they settled on 1st person to distinguish it from games like Tomb Raider and Uncharted. It would be cool if they included both options

I’ve liked all the Indiana Jones games I’ve played, even Staff of Kings and raiders of the lost ark on the Atari 2600 (I’m old). My favourite though has always been The infernal machine simply because it was a tomb raider inspired game with Indy. I will get this but I would have preferred it as third person rather than first person. First person shooters are fantastic but I really don’t think action adventure games work well in first person. Shame they don’t include an option to play it either first or third person.
Its a good thing considering the studio. Their previous games have been 1st person, with some 3rd person climbing in the Riddick games. Its what they're good at. I think they should stick to what they know when trying to make the best Indiana Jones game. They have proven they can handle 1st person melee combat.

@@hsd287 No, i'm just saying they should stick to the 1st person perspective, because they are good at telling stories that way, and i like a good FPS. They did a great job with exploring more in depth character traits with BJ in the Wolfenstein games, they took that lore and expanded it in a great way, just like they did with Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay.

The first person angle seemed a bit iffy, but everything else looks so good that I don't even mind it anymore, I always loved the idea of optional puzzles, and integrating the whip this much into the game is also really cool!
Looks like a more fancy version of Uncharted!

Bethesda in recent years doesn't have the best track record, so, I'm not confident it's going to be fanatastix, but maybe a short focused 20-hour campaign will be better than a 100+ hour RPG. I'll give them a chance, as I always try to do.
(Though, let's face it, if you want a true Indiana Jones esque gaming experience, Nathan and Lara give sharp competition).

Regardless of what people think of this game, this all hits right at home for me. My big brother, our friends & I, used to watch the movies almost every weekend back in the 90's. Indy, & Han was a hero to us. I'm excited to see how this game turns out.
Emperor's Tomb will still be my favorite. The sounds of punches, whip, guns and music are similar to the movie, and most importantly, it's 3rd person, it feels like it's part of the movie. If they will make this new Indy game a 3rd person, I would love it too.

This game really makes you feel like Indy
So, the new Indy game already has critics accusing that it's going to be "woke" just because it has a strong woman character. Just because a game or movie has a strong woman character does not make it woke. Lest they forget, Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine (N64) had a strong woman character and so did Emperor's Tomb (Xbox) and those were both awesome Indy games! Shut up critics! This game is gonna be Legendary! Bravo guys!

Looking forwards to this. It’s funny, how the games sometimes have a better plot than the movies! The background story to this game sounds great. You’d have to set it in later times though of course if it was made into a film. I enjoyed the last movie but the time travel part just didn’t click with the Indiana jones franchise for me.
