Yeah, many years ago they were like that. The newer Hario Scale I purchased gave 0.1g readings. I will say there are many, far better scales around nowadays. RUclips vids can help in researching.
what you want in a shop is a fast responding scale with either backgroundlight or an easy to read display. Looking at the clip it´s just an average lame scale with a timer. Plastic sheet to keep the scale clean is missing. At the end of a long working day last thing you want is to clean a scale.
Honestly, I was sad to see this in the video. I love the aesthetic design of the scale and I love Hario products. But that lag is deal breaker. I’ve got a basic scale that’s wayyy cheaper than this and just as slow.
Horray for unitaskers? Why have a scale specifically devoted to your drip when yo ucould have a larger, more versatile one for your whole kitchen? This is stupid, and I bet it costs twice what a normal digital kitchen scale costs.
Because these specifically designed scale for coffee can weight tiny increments of bean by bean. If you weigh in a tiny bean on a large kitchen scale. It won’t recognize it unless you weigh in more beans. That being say coffee scales are very precise and if you want to brew a damn cup of coffee. Tiny increments of weight measurement is extremely crucial! So don’t sound like a peasant before judging something you don’t fully understand.
@robotsongs Then don't buy it. Why the crusade?
Hello, in the video i see the scale shows increments from 0 to 5 when it comes to the .1g readings. It won't read .2, .3, .4 etc? Thanks
