I'm telling you guys, I truly hope that each one of you gets to experience seeing GD live onstage... he just has a HUGE presence. That stage was SO big but he really did a wonderful job of engaging the ENTIRE audience. For every song he did (Shake the world intro/One of a Kind, MichiGo, Crayon, and Niliria) he made sure that everyone in every seat felt included. He and Missy are about to drop a BOMB on Kpop music with Niliria and his new album. KPOP is going to be transformed once again by him!

missy elliot definitely has a legacy as a female rapper but she's hardly a trendsetter in american media today. her getting featured in GD's song is frankly a great opportunity for her to become current again. also if we're talking talent, just objectively, GD is an overall more well-rounded performer due to his skill in dancing, singing, and songwriting. however missy elliot's job isn't to be a singer or dancer, she's a rapper and she does it well.

She's won 5 Grammy Awards, sold over 30 million albums worldwide, and has produced music for some of the biggest artists in the world including Aaliyah and Destiny's Child. Very true. Hip Hop originated as a language for the inner cities to the rest of the world. It was to talk about what was really happening to Black Americans. The crime, drugs, and negative that was dished out to our people. This shit now is so far from what Hip Hop truly stood for. Now it's just about the bling, the grills, and who can chop down the next the fastest. So sad what has happened to our language.
Well... there's a whole Korean hip-hop scene, so yes, it is something that Korean musicians do. Look, we all get what you're saying. But as a black person, I don't feel it's important to keep other races from expressing themselves through hip-hop. I literally hate that everyone who is non-black that ever does hip-hop is called "trying to act black." Especially since there is no such thing as acting a certain race. Let's just enjoy the music, or hate it and move on. Please.
Hip hop began as sort of counterculture to white, mainstream America. The whole point of Hip Hop is, speaking metaphorically, freeing yourself from the cage others have trapped you in, defying prejudice and labels. Yes, as a culture and an art form it's more or less dominated or at least centralized around Black people and culture, but that's besides the point, Hip Hop is above race, its about legitimizing and expressing yourself no matter who you are or what you look like.

I owe her my moves and respect...... as well as gdragon he is my fashion icon as well as favorite korean person EVARRRR. It's more than that. It's undeniable Missy has so many more years of experience than GD has, therefore her fame and fanbase, especially in the US, is logically more than GD. naruto4192 was right. GD is superbly talented and has been more than acknowledged by Korea and now US artists like Missy, who will definitely bring GD to whole new level.
I think that GD is fine (literally speaking hot too) just the way he is. Big Bang is based off of Hip Hop after all along with other cool genres. GD has been wanting to collab with Missy Elliott for a long time. YG sent her his work but because Missy Elliott was very sick for awhile it postponed any collab work between the two. Its been one of his childhood dreams to work with her and he finally saw his dream come true.
