Hearing you being real makes me feel better about myself. These producers seriously make it seem like you absolutely have to make beats everyday til you die to even make it.
I think what I took away from this most was the discipline of making music regularly. When roadblocks arise you found intelligent long term solutions for being more efficient and productive. Thanks for sharing big homie🙏🙏
Wait a second, are you the same sikky beats that used to submit beats to Blapchat? If not then just ignore me but if you are, this is one of those small world moments
I was so inspired after watching your video that every day for for a week it was burning on my mind that I needed to try something like this. Today I’m proud to say that I posted my 25th track straight… 1/4 of my final goal!! It’s definitely sometimes difficult, and there have been a few days when I want to do anything other than music. I work a full time programming job so finding time and energy to make music isn’t easy. But the fact that I have to post every day for people to see keeps me going, and is keeping me creative. Thank you so much for this idea L Dre and I’ll see you at day 100!!
Good stuff! I don't have the same sort of social media following as you do, but I dropped two tracks per week on two of my House Music labels for a year straight - and it was a great experience! Plus I learned how to up my artwork game from your channel which helped that process go super smoothly! Nuff respect.
Nice bro making me feel mad motivated after getting suspended for a week at my job. Definitely gonna be my goal for the week is make one a day and post it
It’s a shame you haven’t really been working with artists. Some of the versatility you showcased in the beginning of the video is insane man! You got some bangers, would love to hear what a vocalist would do with them
Appreciate your discipline brother. An instructor of mine once told me, “Talent is 20% gift and 80% work.” IOW, it doesn’t matter how good you are at something...unless you DO it a lot. This was a very inspirational video. Thank you.
Fire insights. Definitely taking some of the points away in my production. Considering doing this myself! Those dance and D&B beats are dope af. Also love the Invisible Friends hoodie... Much love!
Thanks for sharing your experience, was very inspiring! I've always thought of doing something like this but couldn't do it. Glad you could do it, even through your busy life. God bless!
Dayum welcome back! I should consider making some challenge, got little busy with real life stuff and feeling a lil rusty, this would get me back on track
I know it's personal preferences. The problem with samples is on its face is they're not original ideas. A lot of producers become predictable because cats are using a lot of the same sounding samples with verbatim voicings. Now the slick think becomes when one creates something with a sample that is totally original and unique. For instance i'm a jazz musician by nature so when I use a piano sample or guitar sample I can totally destroy it because I understand theory and harmony. I can take a chord and create another voicing of that same chord and it sounds like something else altogether. This is the secret sauce for many jazz pianist and other chord bearing instrumentalists when they perform the same repertoire.
Thank you very much for all the content you provide to the community ! In my point of view, to take time to create music every day, you need discipline and focus, 2 things I really wanted to improve. It's what really motivated me to start the challenge when I watched your stories. I'm currently on my 12th day. I hope to do at least 30 days but we will see when I will give up ✊🏾
As someone who's currently doing a 30-day beatmaking challenge (I'm in day 24), I can confirm all of the benefits you mentioned in this video. This challenge is much more helpful than what it looks like. I highly recommend it (at least a 14-day challenge) to anyone who's experiencing beatblock right now. Try it and you'll see how much it helps you overcome beatblock!
awesome video man thank you One question, When you post the song on your Instagram stories.. we're the tracks you made pre mixed before showing others? Or did you mix and mastered them. Also, did you outsource for that? Just trying to pick the brain of anyone whose has made a good habit with finishing tracks because I want to stop being a perfectionist, since it hinders finishing tracks Thanks again!
@@LDreTheGiant Like you said in this video, it's about doing it on the days you don't want to. Personally, I love me some making beats time on a Sunday.

talking down on samples is like talking down on a home cooked meal that wasn't made from scratch. nobody would ever know if you dont mention it. with that being said, samples are good. why not?
So now you have more time on your plate to do "4 Lofi Producers, 1 Sample" - I'M READY AND WAITING 💪🏼
The internet needs an L. Dre Hush Child (Will Hatton) collab 🙌🏻😭
Yup, for sure! We need that collab! 🙏🙏

I think James Brown put it something like this: "The music business is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration". Same principle!
Thanks for sharing L. Dre these were some definite gems 💎 for producers \ BeatMakers. Very helpful content for creative folks overall 🔥.
