What a treat! Many thanks, CANDCJ. The first tune is Lil Hardin's 'Skid-Dat-De-Dat'; the second is Johnny St. Cyr's 'Oriental Strut'; the third Byron Gay's 'Four or Five Times'; the fourth George Whiting and Walter Donaldson's 'My Blue Heaven' (Shouta's favourite so far). I look forward to hearing the others when I have some spare time!
I've now heard the rest. Tune 5 is 'Root, Hog, or Die!' (see playing-traditional-jazz.blogspot.com/2016/11/root-hog-or-die.html), Tune 6 is 'Sugar Blues', composed in 1919 by Clarence Williams and Lucy Fletcher, Tune 7 is 'A Woman's Place is in the Groove' by Vivien Garry (see playing-traditional-jazz.blogspot.com/2018/01/post-587-womans-place-is-in-groove-from.html), Tune 8 is 'Goodnight Sweetheart', composed in 1951 by Calvin Carter and James Hudson.
Baby's just chillin...Loving every moment of being immersed directly in the middle of this great music. That's going to be one well grounded kid when he starts to grow up.
I too am amazed that Haruka Kikuchi, can play trombone with her left hand and babysit with her right hand, and the then play amazing music WOW What a great band!!!
Kudos to Ms. Kikuchi, I played trombone in high school (average, at best) and I can not imagine trying to do so with a child in my lap. To be able to do so well AND improvise is remarkable!
Just chillin' through the COVID-19 quarantine of March 2020 by binge watching The Shake 'Em Up Jazz Band. Thanks Ladies for keeping us sane through all the craziness.
Thanks for your comment. Believe the musicians need some time to finish one tune, clear their minds and get their full attention into the next. With a good picture and sound, a full set might get you the feeling of being there.
It's joyous to eee the havng so much fun, and even though they might get a sub for an event, this band would not be the same and it might be notatall without any one of them.
Hi @kodebruijn4753, Thanks for your comment and your crush for these great musicians. We try to put in some useful information in the introduction of each clip. We feel there is a need to understand the settings a little bit better. Sometimes we go great length. Here we stated: "The third and final set (in one-go) for the day of SHAKE 'EM UP JAZZ BAND. On this special day, July 11th, 2019, the sun was shining from a clear-blue sky giving the air a pleasant feeling. As part of their European Tour, the band graced Denmark's capital, Copenhagen, for three days. A pre-festival event took place at Kroeger's Have (Garden), a 30-minute walk west of Tivoli and the Main Railway Station. Most of the guests at this popular seasonal restaurant seemed more interested in eating and chatting and probably didn´t have a clue who were playing. Members of the band are: Molly Reeves, guitar, vocals; Chloe Feoranzo, clarinet, vocals; Marla Dixon, trumpet, vocals; Julie Schexnayder, string bass; Defne "Dizzy" Incirlioglu, washboard; Haruka Kikuchi, trombone, vocals and baby-sitting. Videographed from a low position, sitting on the gravel, with a hand-held SONY HandyCam, FDR-AX100 in FH quality mode." If you are watching on a big screen, a TV, you have to work your remote control to find the annotations.
Google translate: "Haruka is amazing. I don't know anyone who played the trombone while holding a child in front of them and did it all the way to the end."
Oh, for heaven's sake!! She's a wonderful parent and musician!! Lucky little boy; sitting in the warm lap of his loving mother and surrounded by all those talented women!!
Women down through the ages have carried their infants while they toiled in the fields or traveled by foot across continents. Yours may have been swinging from tree limb to tree limb...
I knew someone would say that. I thought about it and then I realised that if ladies want to take over parts of what was once dominated by the males, there will be a difficulty penalty. That is paid for by the children. Next comment: "where's the father?" Are we allowed to ask that?

I am totally blown away also - but from the Mom standpoint!!!
I second your comment, please notice this child is a toddler, not an infant, and his attention span is huge. Kudos to M0M !

Love these Ladies , And a Baby Too. ** Talent Deluxe.
Best version of Root Hog or Die currently done live.
Excellent quality. Thanks for letting it run between selections-we miss out of some interesting interaction when editing is too tight.

Second the motion ... and many thanks !
I love these gals almost as much as I love me some Tuba Skinny. Both a great in their own right.
Shaye and her gang are very professional, but I enjoy this more.
Enjoy seeing the trombone player with her baby on her lap!
How come already 2 people do not like this awesome band.
Chauvinists maybe?
Tonedeaf?
LOL! I guess Haruka couldn't get a sitter.
Ohrschutz für das Baby! OMG!!
It's joyous to eee the havng so much fun, and even though they might get a sub for an event, this band would not be the same and it might be notatall without any one of them.
Some of the best young jazz musicians in New Orleans come all the way to Denmark to play. Lucky Danes!

A real example of Multitasking; A beautiful girl taking care of a baby and simultaneously playing the trombone
looks like they are playing in Tivoli.

🧠🖤
Hope the baby had earplugs
I believe the baby was not in front of the trombone sound and just heard what the mother hears as she is playing.

@@CrustyWhiteBread The kid threw the headphones off because he/she wanted to hear what mama was playing. 8:30
@@sireugenecourtney5797 You're right and Shouta is now a yt star in his own right given the amount of times he has appeared in his mum's videos.
Sorry but the child does not need to be in the mothers lap while she is playing the horn. Not good parenting
