Thank you for that amazing video! I have been interested in learning this language for so long, but I really want to start doing it seriously now. I‘m not 100% done with Hiragana/Katakana yet, but this video is helping me a lot, while also giving me some vocabulary to learn! It’s really fun and I get so happy when I recognize some words from the songs I listen too.
Thank you sooo much for not adding romaji. A lot of videos add them and i get distracted in reading the actual japanese. Having no romaji increases my speed of reading in kana and hopefully in kanji too. God bless you🤗
I am not 100% sure but as much as I can see, you have also taken out the time to put the kanji that are n5 rather than all the kanji! That is so so so helpful. thank you
Wonderful! I could only wish that you could include examples of sentences. That would be much easier to remember the word, if it has a practical example.
Thank you! Ive been learning japanese for a 2 weeks now mostly on the grammar but now when its time to up my vocab I dont know where to start so this is really helpful :)
You can easily find kanji and vocabulary pdfs online for free download. Google for things like kanji list pdf or kanji N5 pdf help. 😉 Also for Android I found a really good app. For train the kanji it's called obenkyo. It's completely free and it's usable offline.

Thanks for this list of vocabulary words. It really helps me a lot, at first I doubted myself if I can read it without romaji. This made me realized that I should trust myself (coz I glanced to Hiragana and Katakana just thrice this month and I can't memorize it).
Even though I know most if not all of the words already, I’m listening for pitch accent. Your voice makes it very easy to determine where the downsteps are (if they exist). Plus you read the word twice! Legend.
I don't think it is a good idea to try to learn plain lists of words. Listening to words in whole sentences gives them the context that they need to make sense. It would be a good idea to find sentences spoken by native Japanese speakers that contain the words. Listen to those sentences repeatedly, and then the words in those sentences will become familiar to you at the same time as you learn in what context they are used and how they relate to the other words in the sentences that contain them.
Memorize these vocabs translating it to Japanese. 1. to see a person, to meet 2. blue 3. red 4. red (i-adjective) 5. to go up 6. bright, light 7. autumn, fall 8. to open 9. to open (something) 10. to give 11. To walk 38. Over there 39. Good
I am actually proud of myself so far I am only at about 15 minutes, and yes I pause before you say the Japanese's pronunciations, and say it and so far I have only mispronounced a couple, I can read, even if I don't know what it means. I am taking a break now, but fell accomplished for now, but still have a long ways to go. I hope, next year we are allowed to go to Japan, so it gives me time to actually hold conversations if opportunity arises. Even read, I can read Hiragana and Katakana even though Katakana is a little harder, Kanji is on a whole other level.
I've been practicing remembering hiragana and katakana for the past day or two, and while I can't read the kanji---I can read the kana and I'm so happy I can pronounce the words! While I knew some words from anime, I'm really trying not to look at the English words and just the kana. I will definitely come back to this video later when I start looking at kanji and expanding my vocabulary!
I have failed this test twice. First time i failed by 2 points on the listening section, and lost year i was so busy stressing about grammat and listening that i absolutely bombed the Vocab section, but did good on the others! IM NOT FAILING THIN TEST A 3RD TIME!
This video is great! It has native pronunciation and it doesn't use romaji. Perfect for N5 practice. However, I did notice that 火 was translated to tuesday even though it is technically fire "ひ" (can also be read as か). Had this been a less knowledgeable me watching, it would have confused me. Maybe add the rest of the word? "火曜日 or 火ようび" to make it more understandable, but emphasize the kanji for fire. Happens at 19:10. Nevertheless, it is a great video! ありがとうございます。
@@11111111175890 haha it certainly feels amazing when you can finally read what people write. Most of the time you don't see progress for a while but it's there. がんばって!

Day 1: 会う ー to meet あおい ー blue あか - red あかい - red (adj) あがる - to go up あかるい - bright, light あき - Autumn, fall あく - to open あける - to open something あげる - to give
Been years since I learned Japanese coming to this channel has helped me remember a lot of what I thought I forgot. I didn't even know I still understood or even could read the characters to this point. I'm still rusty by all means but surprisingly pleasant to know that it's not all lost. I probably wouldn't past the JLPT or anything not yet would need some serious studying...
I love it, but one hundred is enough for a start. I'll definitely be back. I learned to read hiragana when I was stationed in Japan in1956-8. I could read it very s-l-o-w-l-y after studying for an hour or two, but I learned to read it really quickly--as fast as English--by reading the train and subway station names as the cars pulled out of the stations. Just reading all of the signs and posters that were to be seen everywhere also helped. It was painless learning.True, I didn't know what most of the words meant, but at least I could read the words. Well, you have to start somewhere., and I now think that I'm going to do the entire course. Brains not required, only persistence.
Thank you so much for showing what kind of word it is at the top. A lot of other videos phrase a verb like an adjective or something, which makes it really hard to accurately learn. I also like how there's not a ton of loan words, too.
Hello! Thank you for the great video! Nice to find someone who's not a robot pronouncing words! I've been watching Dogen's lessons and one thing he brings up about pitch accent is learning standard tokyo dialect. Do you mind if I ask if the dialect used in this video is tokyo-ben or something else? Thank you!
this was good but i wish you put the words in a better order. glad you got hiragana as i can only read that and a few kanji! lol only been studying for 2 weeks so i guess its ok . I wanna take this test next year. thanks, good luck everyone
Thank you very much! Just finished the N5 classes and I needed something to help me organize my vocabulary so I can study for JPLT5. Do you also have a video for N5 Kanji? Again thank you very much
Thank you I am so glad it was helpful! We have some kanji writing practice but making a video of just kanji is a great idea. We will defiantly consider making that kind of video!

I'm glad you liked it! Good luck with your study!
My Japanese teacher said me to listen this, i used this meanwhile i am making homework, grettings from Mexico
I am honored! Thank you so much for listening!
I just discovered this video. It's perfect. I can just use the audio to practice my writing and check if I was wrong.
Finally a straight forward vocab list with native pronunciation that doesn't sound like it was recorded in a commercial kitchen by someone chewing gum

Thank you sooo much for not adding romaji. A lot of videos add them and i get distracted in reading the actual japanese. Having no romaji increases my speed of reading in kana and hopefully in kanji too. God bless you🤗
You're very welcome! :) Glad you liked it!

You're welcome :) I'm glad!
I am not 100% sure but as much as I can see, you have also taken out the time to put the kanji that are n5 rather than all the kanji! That is so so so helpful. thank you
I love this way of teaching because for me it's lots easier if have no romaji arigato gosaimasu
glad to hear!
It’s easier if I have no romaji
*proceeds to use romaji*
Thank you for these videos and making one for the other levels too! Exactly what I was looking for
Wonderful! I could only wish that you could include examples of sentences. That would be much easier to remember the word, if it has a practical example.
Thank you, Maria! I have a playlist "JLPT N5 Vocabulary with example sentences".

I hope this helps!
Started learning Japanese 2 months ago now, gonna use this to passive listen and reinforce my knowledge thank you :)
Thank you! Ive been learning japanese for a 2 weeks now mostly on the grammar but now when its time to up my vocab I dont know where to start so this is really helpful :)
Glad to hear that! :) Best of luck!
Can u share ur material for me to learn
You can easily find kanji and vocabulary pdfs online for free download.
Google for things like kanji list pdf or kanji N5 pdf help. 😉
Also for Android I found a really good app. For train the kanji it's called obenkyo.
It's completely free and it's usable offline.
Thank you so much i realy like that you listed the words that have near sounds or pronounciations after each other! がんばってください!
Thanks for watching!
My pleasure 😊
Thank you so much, My mom doesn’t teach me her language so gotta do it by my self. Good luck to me.
Oh no :( Well I hope our videos will be helpful :D

Thanks for this list of vocabulary words. It really helps me a lot, at first I doubted myself if I can read it without romaji. This made me realized that I should trust myself (coz I glanced to Hiragana and Katakana just thrice this month and I can't memorize it).
You’re welcome! That’s awesome! It’s best to learn without romaji if you can. 😄 helps the hiragana and katakana stick in your brain faster!
Even though I know most if not all of the words already, I’m listening for pitch accent. Your voice makes it very easy to determine where the downsteps are (if they exist). Plus you read the word twice! Legend.
Thank you so much! :)
Fantastic work, Thanks for your hard efforts, I am studying Japanese Kanji at present and also find this very useful.👍🤗
Awesome!! Thank you! 😃

You're welcome! Good luck!
How much did you learn?
@@TheMelopeus Not alot, it was a bad method to learn so many at once.
@@toff2042 try 5 a day, it works better
I don't think it is a good idea to try to learn plain lists of words. Listening to words in whole sentences gives them the context that they need to make sense. It would be a good idea to find sentences spoken by native Japanese speakers that contain the words. Listen to those sentences repeatedly, and then the words in those sentences will become familiar to you at the same time as you learn in what context they are used and how they relate to the other words in the sentences that contain them.
These are like word meanings That I used to memorize usally 15 or so in each chapter and so I progressed a lot

That is a great strategy. 🙌 great job. I really hope Japan will open back up to tourists soon too. 😔
That is awesome! :)
Leaving this Here for me
First 100 words : 13:55
My favorite part about this is that you included the hiragana reading of the kanji :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
ありがとうございます。
Thank you for sharing your view!
Wow i can read the last line in Japanese :p, my hard work started to pay off
@@11111111175890 haha it certainly feels amazing when you can finally read what people write. Most of the time you don't see progress for a while but it's there. がんばって!
I noticed that it was wrong but because I'm not a native speaker I thought it was just me
1:13:58 flower viewing has no charecter definition (like noun) also really useful video thank you
Thank you so much. This must've been a ton of work and it's greatly appreciated!
I'm feeling jittery. I know most of these, mastered hiragana and katakana and N5 kanji but still finding it quite hard on listening comprehension😭😭
good luck to all of us taking JLPT and thank you to the uploader of this video. It helps me refresh my knowledge💕 it's wonderful
very well done and clearly enunciated and pronounced. good pace too!
Thank you, ciociaro! 😀✨
You're a hero... Thank you SO much!!
Wow! Thank you! 😃I am glad that it helped you!!!
Day 1:
会う ー to meet

あか - red
あかい - red (adj)
あがる - to go up

あき - Autumn, fall
あく - to open
あける - to open something

I've just learned katakana and hiragana. I can appreciate the examples to get familiarise with the symbols and application. Thank you!!!
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful!
Thanks, this is very helpful! Very clear, easy to listen to.
Commenting since I'm starting my N5 journey today. Already learned kana but don't know how to form many actual words yet. Cheers to pushing forward!
Thank you so much. I don’t like to attend classes. So this helps a lot!
Glad it was helpful! You're welcome!
ありがとうございます! I will listen to this night and day. 🥰
Glad that you came back to studying Japanese again!
update?
day 1 i learned 1-11
day 2 i learned 11-28
day 3 i bought a book so im gonna study from that but still keep track here 28-49
day 4 i learned 49-61
Thank u for this video😌
Without romaji is good to practice my hiragana and katakana reading😄 thanks alot..
You're welcome! 🙂
Persistence is important for sure for language learning. Good luck with your study!
This is very helpful. Mostly, though, I just love hearing the cognates, especially 40:37. 草

amazing that this content can be accessed on youtube by native speaker. thanks a lot!
15:32 ignore this it’s just a bookmark for where to pick off
Thank you so much for showing what kind of word it is at the top.
Thank you!
Thanks for watching! Standard Japanese (Tokyo ben?) was used in this video.
this was good but i wish you put the words in a better order. glad you got hiragana as i can only read that and a few kanji! lol only been studying for 2 weeks so i guess its ok . I wanna take this test next year. thanks, good luck everyone
7:00 Note for myself XD, writing ALL 800 of the vocabulary in my notebook. Wish me luck!

Thank you I am so glad it was helpful! We have some kanji writing practice but making a video of just kanji is a great idea. We will defiantly consider making that kind of video!
