EVERYONE PLS KNOW THAT YES, I KNOW THAT ERI'S QUIRK DOES NOT POWER DEKU UP. I KNOW THAT SHE WAS JUST CONSTANTLY REWINDING HIS BONES FROM BREAKING.
The reason why i made Aizawa say "power up" is because
1. My mind completely slipped of the fact of how Eri's quirk works
2. I had to make the explanation quick
So pls stop commenting abt that, i've already seen countless comment abt it.

It all has to deal with motivation. You get more motivation when trying to save a child compared to an adult. That's just how it works.

1:34 there are a few very important reasons why Deku carried Eri on his back during the fight. I think the only one mentioned in both the manga and the anime was that her Quirk would power Deku up. However....
a. if Deku had let her go try and run and hide there is a very good chance Overhaul would completely ignore Deku and go after Eri which would cause untold destructiion and death.
b. Deku's focus would be split between trying to fight and protecting Eri which could prove to be deadly for them both
c. The league is still around and with Deku distracted with the fight they could very easily snatch Eri
Deku's smart enoughto know all of this, even during battle. As dangerous as having Eri participate in the fight, even indirectly, is it is WAY less dangerous then the other option and the odds of her being safe on Deku's back is way better then the odds in a situation where she's not on his back
actually deku was breaking his bones from using his power too much and era was rewinding him in a split second so he didn't feel the pain. but your reasons are good too.
i mean also bc if deku put eri down overhal out prob snatch her then run

you got to remember that izuku has very high IQ as we've seen from his hero notes so it's not really a surprise he came up with this plan on the spot

Deku only went past his physical limits while protecting the kids, while fighting with all might he was just using as much strength as he could, but when he fought Muscular to protect Kota he used 1,000,000%, while fighting Overhaul he used full cowling 100%, and while fighting Nine he literally doubled it by giving it to Bakugo.

Overhaul is alive bc Eri rewinded him back when she lost control on her quirk, but if Eri didn't lose control of her quirk then Overhaul would be dEAD

when i watched MHA i cried because of the fact that overhaul turned like into a creeper
One of the best fights in mha we can all agree on that one.
This is really good! Eri’s quirk didn’t power deku up, it helped him to not break his bones, her quirk is rewind and that means she can make for an example a burned flower back to normal, so that means when deku’s bones broke she immediately healed them( i don’t know how to explain it really)
This was amazing but hilarious at the same time(๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ Can't wait till the next part!

rewind doesn't power up deku it just makes sure he not breaking his bones and being in the hospital again.

*Eri' quirk did not power Izuku up, it constantly rewinded his body, so like how he damages his body when he uses a certain percentage of his quirk, Eri' quirk quickly rewinded the damage on Izuku' body, letting him use 100% of OFA without damaging his body, so thats why even after his beat Overhaul Izuku looked as if he could continue fighting with ease, this also explains why Izuku was in pain after the fight because of Eri constantly rewinding his body, which was soon stopped by Aizawa.*

when I watched this and at 2:55 made me realize that when someone is messes with Eri this is what he becomes :skull:
We can all admit overhauls quirk is very overpowered as he can control matter and knows human anatomy so he can't disassemble and reassemble human matter
If someone like all for one got it forget deku he just gets destroyed
I don't remember if he died but I do remember that Overhaul is just armless 🙂

Yes, Eri was the reason Deku was able to power up but she did not power him up e simply went into a higher percentage of OFA than he could handle and Eri's quirk reversed his body to when it wasn't damaged.
