Can you see the job description of someone working at FliteTest on a resume? New Employer: What do you do sir? I build all kinds of crazy flying machines and then find all kinds of crazy ways to destroy them. I have a lot of fun doing it. New Employer: Why would you ever leave such a job and are they hiring?
I haven't watched you giys in some time but man this video was a great one. Would be a great kit for a stem class as well and at the end have a battle. Keep up the work making more fun videos
this may be my favorite project you guys came up with, ty.... i can see making this a common contest fit for everyone, from churches to drunk people quality fun
Thank you so much, brother. We really hope this is a great day for people to get in the hobby and also use it in a positive way. Thank you for celebrating both. Would love to see these flying around on a calm summer night all lit up as well! Maybe a flite fest 25
Crazy i know the last time i got a notification of a flight test video it was the building the worlds largest rc plane use to never miss a video thankfully this video poped up in my recommendations 😂 💯
I haven't watched one of these videos actually since the Battle ships one. Can you just imagine all the birthday, family reunions etc. with - say about a dozen of these flying around 🤣🤣
well done guys !!! ... definitely building a few of these for indoor winter flying with the GrandKids ... great eay to get them started in RC flying ... thanks again for all the development work that you put into these ... looks even easier than the EZ Flyers
Finally got around to building my mini f22. I'm at the mercy of USPS now for my electronics but I can't wait to put this thing up and see how she flies.
This seems like a good opportunity to encourage you guys to make a big lifting-body pseudo-airship. It could contain several pill-shaped mylar balloons, full of helium. But, with modern motors, it wouldn't need to be neutrally buoyant. If you wanted to be really brave, you could get twice the buoyancy with hydrogen.
Many years ago, I remember seeing a mylar giant frisbee like flattish balloon. It was about 2-3 feet in diameter and only about 3-4 inches thick in the middle. It was meant to be thrown like a frisbee, but it was very floaty. I’ve always thought it would be fun to modify it into a RC plane.
We recycle them for the electronics with the ones we crash. Every year at our annual open house, we take one that are in good condition and sell them off at a great price to help reinvest back into the content
Notice on popping the helium balloon the blimp fell because the bubble of helium pushed the air out of the way and didn't supply the density for the blimp to float on.
The actual cause of the blimps falling afterwards was because we cut very small slivers on the tips of the props so they could pop the balloons easy. The sliver immediately grabbed the first piece of confetti. They could get their hands on, and that caused all the thrust to go away :-). It was hysterical because it happened almost every time
I have a question regarding the kit planes you sell and I wanted to put it on the newest video so maybe it will be seen and consided. Please do not take this wrong way but why does FT not make dedicated videos about each new design? I remember back in the day when a new design would come out along with a video on the main channel showing all the features like size how it flew and a couple different paint schemes. I was scrolling threw the store and there are a bunch of fun designs like the An-2 but on the channel there is nothing about it. Again,I don't want this taken the wrong way but it feels like flite test has changed and is missing part of the magic that made it so special. Maybe I am just misunderstanding how products are released but it was nice having a video where it explained everything clearly and you got a good look at the plane so you could decide what to make next.
Josh can y'all do a challenge between everyone who builds and flys that works for flotest by having the challenge be you have 24 hours to build the best looking and flying and performing RC plane using only the parts found in the wrecked plane pile and it has to be non foam board parts like a fuselage pieces from one plane and wing from another and ECT and then have flying challenges like stol, fastest plane, most acrobatic , and also have biggest plane as well as a category you can win and give points for each category where each plane places in that category and winner gets a cool prize like a really nice rtf plane or a kit or radio or something and love the RC balloon battles so much fun I was doing this way before this video never knew it was popular idea till now
Hi flite test, I am a fan of you guys and I was asking if you could please make a Mitsubishi am6m zero master series plane. I love warbirds and this is my favorite. Not a lot of kits for it and im sure you guys could make an amazing flying version so please consider!
So, the local hockey rink (indoor) has a large helium inflatable dirigible that flys all over the arena before the game and during the rest periods. It has a VERY neutral air buoyancy. It moves with VERY small fans. I’d buy one, at any size, off the FT store. Just sayin.
Love this. Well done! Reminds me of the older videos...just a bunch of guys gluing things together, laughing, and having fun.
I’m so glad you think so. This episode was so fun. Would you want to see more of this kind of content?
@@FliteTest yes
@@FliteTest Yes, please!
10000%
@@FliteTest The inevitable night race would be fun. Otherwise all the LED experiments were a waste.
You guys have way too much fun for working. I’m envious. Keep up the great content.
When Stefan is laughing uncontrollably, it’s a good video 😂
This would be so great in a gym with lots of friends!!
Yes it would!!!!
I have a friend and her birthday is in a couple of weeks. A remote control birthday balloon would be the perfect gift. Take my money. Thanks.
How much fun was this? Sometimes it's the simpler things in life..
So true!
This is the funniest thing that I've seen yet. Nice job, eliminating winter cabin fever for those that don't play outside.
In door blimp battle what a great way to turn a boring winter day in to some thing cool 😎
Ive wanted a blimp for years lol just chillin in the air
This is the Flite Test we need :-) Well done gentlemen. Thanks for the laughs!
Thank you brother!
That is a lot of fun putting motors on the balloons!
it's a blast!!! We love that it's something everyone can do!
Looks like so much fun. Might try this as a quick winter project.

A lot German resumes in 1945 read like this.
You really thought that was clever hu
@ Up voting your own silly comment is rather childish. Shalom
@ I think that was your mom
When i click on a flite test video i never know if its gonna be from 12 years ago or 6 hours ago. (This is a compliment)
I don't think I laughed so hard in a long time. Thanks! I needed that. ha!
Fantastic idea and looks like a load of fun.
Thank you brother! Loving your carbon fiber! Going into a big bird for a fun episode coming soon. :)
This. Was a great episode.
That was pretty epic, guys. Great work.
That seems to be wonderful fun.
😄
Loved watching this.
Keep them flying!
Glad you liked it! It was great fun
Hilarious! Reminds me of arena blimps!
What a brilliant video! I laughed almost all of the way through!

Finally got around to building my mini f22. I'm at the mercy of USPS now for my electronics but I can't wait to put this thing up and see how she flies.
I was just at a hokey game where they had a mini blinp with an ad on it that flew around in the break periods. I wanted to fly it so bad
That's how we got the idea
This seems like a good opportunity to encourage you guys to make a big lifting-body pseudo-airship. It could contain several pill-shaped mylar balloons, full of helium. Yes, make a RC Hindenburg and fly it through a ring of fire until......
Oh the humanity!!! 🤣
So cool!

I found a video where someone did something similar to the “Hover disc”. ruclips.net/video/T1bznUbAKT0/видео.htmlsi=WrHguX1KyNquddIB
that's great! We were defiantly not the first to think of this idea. But it was a ton of fun.
Helium balloon dogfights, best day at work ever!
Amazing! what glue was used?
We used hot glue at a VERY low tempter.
might try this always wanted to try RC blimps. looks fun =)
looks fun! ANy projected date for FliteFest '25 tickets to go on sale?
First week of March. :)
Mylar balloons are the way to go. Not only are they tougher, but they will last 10x as long (i.e. won't deflate so quickly).
Yes that's a great point! They also make a goo you can put into the balloons that help it not deflate as quick as well.
Lots of fun! BTW What model is the blue and white twin-engine amphibian hanging above Josh?
It’s the FT Widgeon. :)
@FliteTest Oh awesome! Is it still available?
adults being kids, great to see
It's always a great time!
I actually enjoyed the mylar balloons more for battle because you can slice them and still fly
Are you guys going to make American made motors and edfs?
We are starting with electronics, such as ESCs ,flight controllers, and more. Working hard to find solutions for motors as well.
Too fun..
i want one now 😆
I reviewed the plantraco micro blimp for RCGroups and later sold it. I definitely regret selling that one, lol
I would love to see a custom Futurama rocket like this.
😂😂😂
cool, reminds me of the plantraco one
Was the happy birthday baloon filled on air or helium
It was helium. We did not have much success without helium.
Super 🎉🎉🎉🎉
We’re glad you liked it!
Didn't you guys put slashing from the propellers on some of the stuff in the room?
No 😂 We have some hard and durable walls.
@@FliteTest Walls yes, but what about the foam creations in the room? 😁
You guys are like a bunch of kids! 😅 you all are the kids all the other kids wanted to be...😂😅 i see the zeppelin coming back!
What do you do with the old planes
We recycle them for the electronics with the ones we crash. Every year at our annual open house, we take one that are in good condition and sell them off at a great price to help reinvest back into the content
Could this be done without helium? With a large/long enough balloon and some small wings?
Notice on popping the helium balloon the blimp fell because the bubble of helium pushed the air out of the way and didn't supply the density for the blimp to float on.
The actual cause of the blimps falling afterwards was because we cut very small slivers on the tips of the props so they could pop the balloons easy. The sliver immediately grabbed the first piece of confetti. They could get their hands on, and that caused all the thrust to go away :-).

You should try filling them with hydrogen and see if the brushed motors produce enough of a spark to ignite it.
Hey if we get 3 million Subscribers we will try that 😂
you guys should try to make a zeppelin
I haven’t been watching much lately due to time, with happened to the Iron Giant in the corner?
It’s flying on our ceiling in the main entrance area :-)
@@FliteTestcool
Mark it for posterity, not prosperity, though I doubt that the balloon will last long enough for future generations to see it.
Official health statement: Cabin Fever has infected Edgewater😂😂
Have yall ever used the flying fish before. I used to have one it was the angry birds edition it was awesome
Loved the flying fish :-) I had a Nemo one and my dad had a shark
@FliteTest that's awesome
I need one
They are available on the FT Store
@@FliteTest thanks im going to have a lot of fun with these
Anybody have any advice on designing and 3d printing a 1/10th scale B-36J and a XF-85
Add FPV!
On it :-)
next get a bunch of tiki torches to fly between and fill the balloons with hydrogen.
Adding to the nightly UFO freak show?

i think that the rocket needed to be move a tiny bit mot furrowed the rocket was pointing up more
lol fun
So many unnecessary links in the description and none of them are for this product 🤦♂️
Day 2 of asking for a tubby B-24, B-29, and a B-36
What I wanna know is, "what happened to, n where's the landspeeder"
We still have it and at some point I would love to revisit.
Too bad we never got closer on the star wars land speeder
Anyone miss the Dirt Pile?
Lol. Definitely not us. That thing is growing up with trees, and Dan touches the far side of the building.
All fun and games until someone loses an eye.
Luckily its hard to hurt yourself with balloons 😂
