MHR Sunbreak - Chameleos Lance Solo [ 2'53"47](Simple Rules)

pretty happy with this run. The whole fight looks super easy and it kinda is if you get the good move rng. but getting the good move rng is big pain. chameleos has like 3 or 4 moves that waste a lot of time where you just abandon the quest if he ends up doing one of them

Basically no pets, no endemic life, no traps, no adrenaline/heroics

Amazing run! So, is the Flaming Espinas Lance still the best choice for a Fire Lance, even against a Poison resistant monster like Chameleos?

I use the aknosom lance

good question! I have been thinking about this as well. So pretty much the only alternative that makes sense here is the Aknosom Lance. and without looking at the poison damage it was weaker with white sharpness than the flaming lance, meaning it needs purple to compete. A lot of flaming's strenght lies in it's already natural purple sharpness, the affinity and the fact that it can use build up boost.
At purple sharpness it is slightly stronger because of the the large element it has, but for me I wanted 30 hits of purple for this run so I would have needed at least 5 lvls of handicraft. So it was kinda awkward to build. and with chameleos blessing 3 a single poison proc, which I usually do get, is still 900 damage, and I don't know if the damage difference between aknosom and flaming will make up for that 900
In conclusion it probably doesn't matter which one you use. I used flaming because I found it easier to build. The most important thing in this run was move rng
