How could a song be so peaceful and make me want to sip some tea, then make me want to smash the tea cup into the wall and start bobbing my head and bounce against the wall?
Love listening to this song while it rains. It's peaceful, sorrowful, and cheerful at the same time. Kinda like the rain I guess. It can be a sad scene, but at the same time nice to look at and be in.
@@thatquietasianguy9582 Gungrave is about learning that giving power to those unfit to wiled it can be disastrous even if it's to your bestfriend... well the anime is the video games the anime was adapted from are about man made horror beyond God's comprehension.
A wonderful series that brought its viewers some closure. That alone is more than most shows can do for the viewer nowadays. Every popular series seems to go on for hundreds of episodes, keeping its viewers coming back with cliffhanger after cliffhanger, and filler sagas that continue for ages. Trigun didn't need to do that. Were there cliffhangers? Sure. But the show didn't rely on them; the story stood on its own, and it paced itself very well. I'll always love this series.
I have Vash tattooed on my back. Peace, and Love! Cover of the third DVD, sitting on rock with jacket blowing in wind. Also to comment on DBZ, great character progression, they always left you wanting to know the next time a chosen, main character, would have to show some depth.
Pure nighttime energy. I can see the stars, feel the cold desert winds and the thrill of driving through it for an unknown location. I hope the Tsuneo comes back his work on Ippo and Trigun was way too good.
Princess Monoke, FLCL, and Samurai Champloo are up to. but, personally Trigun was a change of lifestyle more then any philosophy or religion could do for me. it connected on all the right levels (music, characters, music, action, drama) with all the right themes (love, peace, hardship, acceptance, choice). i owe my life to it as i am today. i have strongly considered a tattoo :P (tho i hate tattoos)
I personally disagree. I feel like there was much more philosophy than "killing is wrong." Almost every episode taught you a different philosophy. Or that's what it seemed like to me, anyway. But to each his own. :) Love and peace!
To me the greatest lesson for a person and for mankind as a whole is that the future is never written in stone. There are things that just cannot be fixed but for everything else there is hope. The ticket to the future is always blank.
Unlike god our resources are limited Nicolas wolfwood but all in all I disagree for tri guns ending a bit the ticket ain’t blank by any means people are limited by there resources and the limits of humanity itself people are stuck in life’s dictated by chance and past actions striving against adversity to hope for a better one we would all live like kings if given the choice but that’s just not possible because of how people work it’s a nice ideal and suits vash but falls apart on closer inspection with how people work in a large group and how resources in general are needed for every action a person does to there food water tools and knowledge needed to use some of those tools . Essay I know I’m just not good at boiling my thoughts down to a sentence or two ty for reading
@@agrihonoberjorn1612 Don't worry, the structure is a bit convoluted but the main point came across. And I definitely agree. Part of why trigun is my favorite anime is how vash is constantly confronted on his utopian ideals that tend to not be based on reality. Great examples of characters that perpetuate this ideological clash are Legato, Nicholas Wolfwood and Knives. All complex and fascinating characters that create a brilliant dinamic with vash throughout the series.
at the end, it's taught to not be shackled by your personal morals - or at least to not ignore the nuance of life. not everything is black and white, not every killer is wrong. it's a character study, and constantly looks at different people's perspectives and dissects them at every angle.
This is true. Episode 14 is about being thankful for your parents and family and showing your appreciation for them throughout your journey in life, whether you're far away or close by.
My favorite shows of all time (*note NOT necessarily what I believe to be BEST just shows that I'm up for watching no matter what my mood is and can enjoy casually)-- Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Panic! (the whole franchise including Fumoffu and TSR) Black Lagoon, Azumanga Daioh!, Samurai Champloo, Noir (one of the most overlooked series in my opinion), and Bleach (look I know Bleach is inconsistent and when at a low point it pretty much sucks but I can't stop watching it), and Trigun
I found it very interesting how the anime avoided the more energetic part of the song in the later(?) parts of the anime? I don’t remember hearing the more energetic parts anywhere in the anime
@TheSlickAndroid I agree time length has nothing to do with how good a show is I've been watching One Piece since the show began and I love how the show has progressed even though it tends to take forever I like to think of anime time length as a roller coaster the longer it takes to get up the more you enjoy the instant before the drop
I'd say the only animes I've seen on par with Trigun (not at all similar) are Fullmetal Alchemist and almost Gundam Wing...Cowboy Bebop as well. I still prefer Trigun most of the time though. It's so easy to jump into and out of.
Seen just about all of that and not a one came close, though at least some were good in their own rights. Trigun's the only one I keep coming back to and recently read the manga of.
ZoSoFro20 Most people would argue that Iron Man is better than a Truth Anti-Smoking commercial. A message isn't necessarily what makes something "good". Iron Man (like FLCL) is FUN. I wouldn't say that all of these comparisons between animes are impossible, because after all, they ARE all animes. FLCL is a sort of coming of age analogy, Trigun is about peace, what it costs, and the consequences of violence. Cowboy Bebop is all over the place with meaning. Cowboy Bebop is great, but I can't just swallow drama and tears all day. Sometimes I want to see a sexy lady on a Vespa smash a kid's face in with a guitar, and then watch robots fight.
@HeatLegs Recently, my list has undergone significant changes. Here's my new top five: 5.Death Note 4.Clannad (full series) 3. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann 2. Mai- HiME 1. Trigun I've been hearing a lot of good things about Monster. I'd better watch it sometime.
You kno what youll never find a anime series like trigun that show is unique (in my opinion) when adult swim first came out it did have some of the best shows to offer but now it's not how it used to be T-T so i dont do tv much anymore i just watch my anime online...
I would have to agree with you on that point. I think that is because they knew when they had to end and didn't try to purposefully extend it, like Bleach or Naruto.
@AkumaUchitoru you may not have noticed it because the picture is in Marina's room, it's rumored to be Vash but the picture s too blurry to see for sure, so, it could just be a lady in a red dress
My top five anime are: 5. Zero no Tsukaima 4. Death Note 3. Clannad 2. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann 1. Trigun I also want to fit Ef: A Tale of Memories in there somewhere. I'd probably put it between Zero no Tsukaima and Death Note, but I didn't want Zero no Tsukaima to come off the list.
i guess we just took it different ways. tho i agree ghost in the shel is amazing, i LOVE the movies. trigun and bebop the only series iv ever bought. both with 26 eps.
@Rezindez Sorry I missed this one to respond to; well they don't actually kill them they cleanse or purify them to be put back properly into the soulstream or something, only Quincy or those who have the intent to utterly destroy their existence can actually kill Hollows.
of those, I'd say trigun is the best (though i haven't seen SDF Macross, and I DO want to). I recommend you watch Wolf's Rain, Cowboy Bebop, and Ghost in the Shell. I also recommend (but not so enthusiastically) Samurai Champloo, Last Exile, and maybe Neon Genesis Evangelion (it's a great anime, but kind of tough to stomach).
@toonlink51 Both Trigun and FFXIII (Which odd enough I love both) have alot of emotional music cues. JRPG's and Anime both have some common traits when it comes to the music is made for them. Both have alot of character themes, emotional themes for deaths or just melancholy scenes, super hyper themes and battle themes. Other genres in Japan and Western games have themes as well but I notice Anime and JRPG have a odd bond (Though I admit I'm much more of a gamer than a otaku).
Like I said, everyone sees it differently. If you didn't like it, no problem. People either love it or hate it. FLCL had depth, but in a different way. I didn't say it had to be a competition between the two either. I liked both, and to me, they were both good.
As a guy who cherishes the old and mildly respects the new, cut Death Note and Champloo out of there for me. I've never seen Blue Gender or Monoke, but I've been told Mononoke is a classic and well-animated (was it Miyazaki, IC'R.) And if your sole purpose was to come here and say "oh well your favorite thing was good, but THESE were SO much better" you better prepare for some negative responses. I think FLCL, Wolf's Rain, Champloo, and DN were fantastic - they don't need to be "better".
I would agree with all of those but FLCL. It was incredibly unique, and is at the same level as Trigun. Everyone experiences it differently, but it's in general awesome. Only 6 episodes, so why not try it?

This song still haunts my very heart and body.
The way it mixes peacefulness and energy is so magical
I know for sure I'll never not enjoy it
Lesson Trigun taught me:No one has the right to take a life
Lesson Cowboy Bebop taught me:No matter how hard you try you can never escape your past
LtSolidus trigun shows that your past reaches you
diavolo taught me that too
mans literally could skip time and predict the future yet he couldnt escape his past
Rurouni Kenshin also taught me that :/

If it can tell a compelling story in 6 episodes, then I'm pretty sure that's a good thing.
That, my friend, is called the awesomeness of Trigun.
I love this song, and I love the title! Something about "Philosophy in a tea cup" is so charming

Did they just mush some fast paced music with some slow paced music!? DID IT ALSO SOUND AWESOME!? Simply wonderful :)
Agreed. Watched all of them. None of them combined come to even half of how much Trigun impacted my life.

Where did you lose Cowboy Bebop 😂
i dont compare great anime' just like i dont compare great artists, let it be what it is...nothin less than amazing
This song feels like a fusion of Jazz and Breakcore.. so ahead of it's time!!
Thanks for posting these! Stars from me to you.
To be fair, Trigun was much more popular in North America than everywhere else mostly due to the western theme. He may not be from North America.
